I am a newbie as well. Last time I did a Shoulder Picnic instead of the butt. Removing the skin was disgusting, so I didn't like that part of the prep. But man oh man this was amazing pulled pork. Best I have ever had. Sorry no play by play since it was over a month ago, but it was amazing for a cheap ol piece of meat. I think after 5 hours I did have my dad crank the heat up, because it was stalled. Then letting it rest in the oven for 4 hours did the trick.
Now I am thinking I may do this for christmas, cause now I am missing it.
