I disavow this post. Blue Bell Christmas Cookie is good merde.Originally posted by wuapinmon View PostBlue Bell? Seriously? If you´d said Blue Bunny, ok, maybe, but Blue Bell? Ha. I was just talking with a guy the other day who went to law school in Ohio, and he was raving about Graeter's Ice Cream. He is originally from Texas, so I asked him how it compared to Blue Bell. He said Blue Bell is good but Graeters is definitely better.Originally posted by Moliere View PostBlue Bell to be sold in Las Vegas. DH and Falafel take note.

There are lots of excellent ice creams on the market. But nobody makes a better vanilla than Blue Bell.Originally posted by Donuthole View PostHa. I know that you guys tend to own the creamery corner, but some of us Utes appreciate ice cream too!Originally posted by Moliere View PostBlue Bell to be sold in Las Vegas. DH and Falafel take note.

So that will give us Blue Bell on the north side and Hagen Daz to the south. I tend to just stick with Anderson's.I told him he was a goddamn Nazi Stormtrooper.

Half of Blue Bell's sales come from their Homemade Vanilla....or so they told me on one of my 3 tours of their factory. While I don't disagree with many that there are probably other ice creams that are better, most of those are specialty ice creams that are either sold in specialty stores or parlors or they are sold by the pint. When it comes to buying a half gallon of ice cream for a party or event, there is nothing as good as Blue Bell. I eat about a half gallon of ice cream every two weeksOriginally posted by Jeff Lebowski View PostThere are lots of excellent ice creams on the market. This week I came across the Sister Missionaries in our ward walking back from a teaching appointment that didn't go well. We gave them a ride and invited them to Braums with us for ice cream. When we arrived at Braums, their zone leaders were already there.Originally posted by clackamascoug View PostAs mentioned, I served my mission in Oklahoma. Just about every ward missionary split (4 times a week) ended up at Braum's as a way to kill time and enjoy the end of a hard day. You would think that I'd gain weight, but as a 19 year old who rode a bike 20 miles a day, Braum's was no problem. I'd love to be able to eat ice cream every night again....

Graeters is ab-fab. In what could fairly be categorized as one of the gayest moments of my adult life, YOhio and I were in Columbus and grabbed a scoop of graeters ice cream together. I don't regret a minute of it!!!Originally posted by Donuthole View PostHa. I was just talking with a guy the other day who went to law school in Ohio, and he was raving about Graeter's Ice Cream. I see that EJ's opinion of Blue Bell has improved as he has stayed in Texas. A few more years and he will be putting in the top echelon of ice creams.Originally posted by Moliere View PostBlue Bell is very good, but it's not in the top echelon of ice creams. It's a very good choice for a practical, yet affordable, ice cream.
I'm an ice cream addict. I eat a bowl a night so I know my stuff. My favorite of all time is a little ice cream place on the ile de saint louis in Paris France. Anyone who has been there at night in the summer knows exactly what I'm talking about.

I just moved to OK, and they are everywhere. So far, I've stuck to my "one a week" indulgence, but it's getting more difficult.Originally posted by Paperback Writer View PostThis week I came across the Sister Missionaries in our ward walking back from a teaching appointment that didn't go well. My kids tell me there are a couple places you can actually get Blue Bell in happy valley. One is at Carrabba's (the "John Cole"). The other is some relatively new ice cream joint, Ike's Creamery at the Provo Beach place...
