For charcoal, I really like Royal Oak lump charcoal, but the size is very inconsistent. For hardwood briquettes, I love Rancher. It is hard to find, but smells, burns, tastes just like hardwood lump. They used to carry it at Trader Joes. Wicked Good lump is also really good but pricey.
