TRH is hit or miss, I like the rolls, but the Longhorn Steakhouse in Idaho Falls is always better than Roadhouse here and it's about the same money. I hadn't been in a Chilis for at least ten years but I went there with a friend this summer and the Chicken Crispers were really good, Raising Cane like.Originally posted by Shaka View PostI'll agree on Texas Roadhouse. The steaks are usually cooked perfectly and most of the time the prime rib is delicious. The rolls are so good that they are always my downfall. I simply eat too many of them and screw up my appetite.
There's a Flemings in downtown SLC at The Gateway.

Yeah but don't you share fries with someone? Last time I went there their small size was good enough for 2.Originally posted by falafel View Post
No way you are getting out of there below $15 with just a soda. You want fries you are nearly at $20.
At any rate that price is higher than what I remembered.

Here's the secret at TRH: their more expensive cuts are just meh. But they do a heck of a job on the sirloin. They tenderize it well and cook it well. Get it over the strip or the ribeye and save yourself $12. When my sons in laws invite us back to Texas Roadhouse, I’ll try the sirloin. Until then, I’d rather go to Bexar BBQ or Corkscrew."Discipleship is not a spectator sport. We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf

Just polished off her left-overs. The food is a lot better without the noise and the 45 minute wait.Originally posted by Non Sequitur View PostMy wife is at TRH this very moment with the in-laws. This is the same at Longhorn, which we have made our family tradition for Christmas Eve lunch. The steak is really good for the price and my kids do well there. We used to do steaks at home on Christmas Eve, a tradition I brought from my side of the family. But a couple years after having kids we decided to move it to eating out at lunch and we haven't looked back. Anyway the sirloin is my go-to and very good for a chain. I branched out and tried the ribeye last year and regretted it.Originally posted by Donuthole View PostHere's the secret at TRH: their more expensive cuts are just meh. Has anyone mentioned pizza chains? I think Marco's is my fave.

I had Marcos about 5 years ago in Riverton and I was not impressed at all. But last year when visiting friends in Vegas they ordered some and it was pretty good. Haven't tried it since though as there are places around us we prefer.Originally posted by Omaha 680 View Post

Not sure if they exist outside of Utah and Texas, but I really like Via 313. They have Detroit style pizza. I also have a soft spot for Peir 49. But I mostly make my own pizzas at home now.
