Dinner from last Friday night that Mrs. Funk and I shared. I cooked it.

Roma tomatoes diced up. Olive oil in a blender with garlic and basil. Blend together. Mix with the diced up roma tomatoes. Slice some fresh mozzarella cheese and place on crostinis top with the tomato mixture

Baby red and yukon gold potatoes: cut in half and tossed with some olive oil, kosher salt, and pepper. Put in a baking dish and roasted in the oven.

One 6 ounce filet mignon: cast iron pan heated up. Cook for about 4 minutes on each side and finished in the oven for about 8 minutes. Perfect medium rare. In honor of nikuman and good taste, I cooked it in butter and seasoned it lightly with salt and pepper.

If I ever have money, I will hire a couple of you to be my cooks.

The quality of the food will be worth the threat of poisoning.

You deserve a LOL on this one. Well played.

Best this week? Hmmm.... Probably Indian-style chicken curry last night (yoghurt-based) with cucumber raita and mango chutney.

Like I said, I am not a fan of fruit salsas. A girl in our neighborhood was selling it door-to-door as part of a volleyball fundraiser so we bought a jar. I didn't even plan on tasting it, but my wife convinced me, and it was very good.

we need to revive these curry talks. Without Big Fat Meanie, someone else will need to step up. I still refer to the old curry threads on cougarguard. yum-licious!

Yeah, we need to start the official curry thread. I have a green curry recipe that i need to post. We could copy over some of the recipes from CG to be sure they are archived.

Faith makes a delicious curry by simply mixing simple cooked vegetables into a box of Golden Curry (Japanese style curry).

I've encouraged her to make it tastier by replacing the cooked vegetables with chopped jalapeno, replacing the Golden Curry with melted Velveeta, and replacing the cooked rice with tortilla chips (starch is starch). I love curry.

I think the only thing Velveeta should be allowed to replace is rat bait. That is nasty!

It is your love affair with velveeta processed cheese that I can't get over.

I will be honest with you and confess that I have had enough of your nonsense.

By "nonsense," I mean your unwillingness to start the OFFICIAL curry thread, and immediately share your undoubtedly delicious recipes.

Like I said, I've had enough.
