Nothing says "I give up" quite like the purchase of a deep fat fryer.

Funny you say that, the wife and I were just saying we've never felt so alive as when we're deep fat frying.
There's no such thing as luck, only drunken invincibility. Make it happen.

My wife made some noodles with Chicken, cheese and sauce that normally goes on bruschetta.

I don't know the name of it. It was very good.

Okinawan Taco Rice at a place here in Ebisu last Thursday. It's so uniquely delicious. I think I'll go for it again today!

What's chicken cheese? Is that like head cheese?

Ain't it like most people, I'm no different. We love to talk on things we don't know about.

Had a sandwich from Paseo's on Thursday, crepes from this new place called Citizen in lower queen anne on Friday, and beef bourguignon last night. Any could lay claim to best thing I ate this week, but Paseo's is always tough to beat.

My wife made a delicious lentil soup for Halloween; very flavorful, the type of savory taste that makes you salivate as you eat it. Carrots, garlic, celery, onions, leeks, lentils, broth, some tomato paste, and all goodness.

Friday's chicken and beef kabob from the local Iranian restaurant was delish too.

Best food this week? The appetizers at La Provence in Roseville, CA: Escargots Aixoise and Gnocchis Maison. Yummm...

                    • I made a mean curried butternut squash soup for the Halloween party yesterday. The kids hated it, most of the adults hated it and I had three bowls. Something about it was offensive to the Midwestern palate.

I agree. We've discovered new life in the kitchen recently. Halloween night was delicious with the donuts (and Donutholes) cooked in the Fry Daddy.

                        • The mac & cheese w/ truffle oil that I just had for lunch in SU's hood is going to be tough to top this week.
