If she is, you'll be able to tell because of the sour look on her face. Oh wait...
Kids in general these days seem more socially retarded...

None of them date. They hang out. They text. They sit in the same car or room and don't say a word...they text. Then, they go home and whack off to internet porn.

I think that's the sad truth about why these kids are retards.

January Jones was a guest judge on Project Runway this week. Now I know; she's not acting as Betty. She's like a hotter William Hurt.

It is funny you mention that. My wife watches even less TV than I do, which is other than BYU sports next to nothing. However, she had this show on the other night. Neither of us had ever seen it before, but were awestruck by the short little guy in the suspender outfit. I was almost equally shocked to see January as one of the judges and learn she seems to be a lifeless in real life as she is portraying Betty D. We could only handle the show for about 15 minutes, but it was like watching a slow motion trainwreck, in other words all kinds of awesome.

Project Runway is awesome. It's the only reality show I regularly watch. That little guy dresses like a freak but is very talented and will probably end up winning this season.

Did you know that January Jones was nominated for an Emmy? Is the bar that low or is she just bandwagoning on the critical success of Mad Men? Perhaps her character just calls for lifelessness and she's certainly capable of portraying that.

With that said, she's immensely hot.

Part of it is based on academic grounds. Among major conferences, the Pac-10 is the best academically, largely because of Stanford, Cal and UCLA. “Colorado is on a par with Oregon,” he said. “Utah isn’t even in the picture.”

The acting tonight was just stellar.

Don in his office after talking to Betty
The daughter when she got Beatles' tickets
Roger in the restaurant with Lucky Strike

Good stuff, though if my dad had caned me, and stepped on my hand, I would've reacted differently.

When asked how old her daughter is, does Joan say "Fifteen" to merely deflect the real reason she's there? Or is that a contemplative reflection of how old her first aborted child would be? And the million-dollar question: did she actually go through with the procedure this time?

I agree wuap, the performances were fantastic. Don's panic attack in his apartment, and subsequent (feigned?) relief in the office at the end of the episode, were marvelous.

Is it just me, or for the first time in recent memory, can we regard Betty and Pete as sympathetic characters? Pete's motivations are still self-centered, and he still thinks he wields some leverage, but he took a ton of shit to keep Dick Whitman under wraps. And what can be made of Betty keeping her lips sealed? Is she sympathetic towards Don (at the least), or even still has feelings for him?

Mondo is the bomb. He's the best designer on the show this year and he's a really cool, down-to-earth guy.

How awesome was that partners' meeting at the end? 4 of the 5 attendees sitting in there under unbelievable stress. The question about Betty is a good one. I liked when she told Henry about the G-men who had come to the house, saying "I don't want there to be any secrets," all the while keeping tight about the biggest secret she knows.

Also, I kind of hope they keep the aviation account when Lucky Strike's exit becomes public knowledge. It's fun to watch Don squirm.

Excellent episode last night, beginning with the opening shot of Roger staring at one of those stupid bobbing birds (very popular back in the '60s) with ennui written all over his face. I've been waiting for a Beatles reference and its appearance last night was well-played, down to the "Do You Want to Know a Secret?" instrumental over the closing credits.

The partners' meeting with everyone holding on to their dark confidences was great.

How many more episodes are there?

What I like about MM is how atypical it is from most TV/movies. 99% of programming would've had Don not be able to get the Beatles tickets just to illustrate how he can't control everything. This also was one of the better episodes for Pete- he wasn't afraid to stand up to Don, yet ultimately he kept his secret and jumped on the grenade to protect him from the partners.

I can't ever recall an episode where I liked both Betty and Pete. She was able to take Don's cue to change the subject. She was genuinely excited for Sally and she kept Don's secret. A strong showing by the former Mrs. Draper.

I thought the girl in the abortion clinic looked much closer to 14 than she did to 17. With that said I found the mother's strength when her daughter was present and angst and weakness when she left very believable.

Nope... Lucky Strike will come back because Don will play the Lee Gardner Jr is gay card.

By the way, I've decided this show is worth watching and we are watching it. I know many of you were breathlessly waiting for that news.
