Boosters are friends that get together in the corner of the map and one kills the other over and over. They usually use tactical insertions to make it easier. They're trying for nukes and/or other difficult titles, etc. They suck.

The last time I played FFA, some months ago, I not only got the top score, I got it mostly by destroying a couple of nuke boosters. It was one of my favorite games ever.

I need to thank coach, lost student, and 8BR for keeping the other team out of the caves on Wasteland so I could drop my first nuke! You left about 3 games too soon, niku. The best part of it all was in the pre-game lobby, some douche was talking shit about us. He backed out once he knew I had it. I hung on to it for a bit but dropped it before the host lost connection or something of That sort. The comment was made that, "at least you didn't drop it as soon as you got it like I did. I lost my load as soon as she took off her top!" That made my first one even sweeter.

That was awesome. I couldn't believe how quickly you had racked up your first 16 or 17 kills. That the Creampuff guy was talking crap about our "best guy leaving" right before the game made it so much cooler. Too bad he didn't stick around.

Does someone have a link to something official saying the PS3 map pack release is tomorrow. I've googled that but couldn't find anything. I don't care too much about the maps, I'm more interested in the double XP as I'm thinking about prestiging again.

I've asked this before but I think people are hesitant to admit, what is your total time logged? I just passed 10 days with my week off of work.

I've accepted yours. I've got you, Drwuap, camelish, The_Tick, and MoHawk I believe. I jsut can't stand the PS3 controller. I recenly bought (and complained about the slow shipping of) a new xbox-style controller that supposedly works with the PS3. As soon as the thing arrives (and assuming it works and/or doesn't totally suck) I'll be playing more PS3. I'm also in the market for a new PS3-friendly headset so I can communicate with everyone.

If you just want something that works (chat only, game sound through TV), you can get the rocketfish one from best buy for like $20, max.

Obviously others have discussed the Tritton ones, but those are a little out of my price range. I got the turtle beach ones which work great. My only 'complaint' is the hissing sound you can hear, but once the game starts, that is covered by the sounds of war.

Unfortunately I kinda need the headphones for game sound, since my wife is convinced my children have superhuman hearing. Apparently they can hear the tv up in their rooms with the door closed when I can't even hear it sitting right next to it.

But I think I've made my headphone selection. I should be purchasing in 6-9 days. (69 days?!)
