Damn bro. Nice job. I wish we would have seen that.

I loved the game last night when Phat, Flyn and I were running around trying to get killed so you could get a couple more kills for a Nuke and you couldn't hear us. It was awesome because we were all out in front of the house on estate shooting our guns in the air trying to draw fire. We were up like 65 - 15 at the time.

We played late last night. It was pretty fun. We were working fools as well. Those Ausie dudes were a of complete asshats.

Yeah, and even funnier was that I didn't even have my nuke on that game. I need to upgrade my mike situation.

I was really, really close to getting one a couple times last night. I would be just on the verge of getting my killstreak, and then would do something dumb.

I think I am going to always play with my nuke class on. In ground war it is much easier to get one, especially on domination. Ftr, I was legitimately playing in the flow of the game - trying to take objectives - when my killstreak kicked in. And then I pitched a tent and lit a fire to roast weenies over. Boy did I roast them. And you've never seen a lobby clear out so fast afterwards.

      • What pissed me off was when I was one away from the nuke on Afghan and get killed by a random grenade that bounced off a rock, the ground and onto my right foot. I watched the kill cam and the dude was looking through his sniper over the rocks and scopes out and throws the damn grenade in the opposite direction that he was looking.

I am not good at photoshop, so I will not even try.

My first nuke, my chopper gunner left me at 24 kills. I was terrified and anxious, facing the need to head out with my nuke on the line. Thankfully, as I was heading out to find one more sap to kill, a claymore halfway across got me my final kill.

Flyn should empathize with the claymore thing. I hear I had him cursing a blue streak in that first game.

I liked playing ground war last night, and I definitely think the opportunity to get nukes on Domination is pretty high, even in the normal gameflow.

Yeah, groundwar was fun. After we beat the Aussies the first time then they nuked us, I thought they were going to roll us after that. Turns out they never came close. They were talking a bunch of trash for how few victories they had.

Phat, you definitely had the right strategy. Let them hold one flag and just mop the floor with them as they try to go for the other flags. Worked great.

Yeah, the better players have six together right now, so I'm not playing at the moment. Last I saw, they were redundanting Domination in Favela.

                            • Okay, guys, as promised, one more map this weekend. Today is Rundown. Note that my style is still evolving and I'm trying out new weapons now and again. Also, I'm going for nukes more often so I'm switching up my killstreaks too.

                              LOADOUT

Primary: ACR w/ silencer (sometimes I will use the M16 w/ Holo too)
                              Secondary: Akimbo Rangers/Spas 12
                              Special 1: Claymore
                              Special 2: Flashbang
                              Perk 1: Scavenger Pro
                              Perk 2: Hardline Pro/Stopping Power Pro/Cold-blooded Pro
                              Perk 3: Ninja Pro
                              Death Streak: Final Stand

Killstreaks: Harrier, Chopper Gunner, Nuke (replace Nuke with Predator if desired)

                              INITIAL MOVES

If I start near the Villa:

See that heart near the store, sort of facing the bridge? It's at the top of a mini staircase. Run - don't walk - to that spot. You now have a great view down the bridge, AND you are really, really hard to see from the other end. Absolutely magnificent for two or three quick start kills - but don't hang about for long. Surprisingly few people know about/use this spot. More on this spot later.

If I start near the Gas Station:

Avoid all temptation to run straight down and across the bridge towards the store. I suggest either creeping down into the field and looking very, very closely for the guy who comes up to the second level of the store and picking him off if you are good long range, or running over to second level of the drugstore and looking down that bridge - but be careful. From there, you want to work to the neighborhood using the church entrance.

                              GENERAL STRATEGY

There is a LOT to say here.

This map is a camper's paradise, which can either suck or be great, depending on how you play. I am a strategic player, but I'm not exactly a camper because I find that somebody is going to eventually get you before you get your killstreaks going. It's not a good idea to hang about in one place for more than a couple of kills, although the second floor of the Neighborhood is a great place to have claymore mayhem. Remember, be a Bedouin, not a permanent tent city resident.

You definitely want a long-distance weapon if you play like me. I use the ACR instead of the TAR because of the long distance accuracy (I rarely use sniper rifles, as they are not my thing).

I tend to range around the back near the stable/villa on the edges and pick people off (especially people coming from near the store), planting claymores in whatever places I see fit. There are TONS of places to place claymores on this map, and I've only pointed out a few. Remember, when placing claymore, think about what direction your opponent is likely to come from and place accordingly. Also make sure that the lines are NOT visible. As you may recall, the trigger range is slightly outside of those lines, and the damage range is even a bit outside of that (in my experience). Ask FN and Flyn how effective I am at claymores.

If you want to camp, the two best places are the second floor of the drugstore and the second floor of the Neighborhood. On the former, be sure to keep a low profile and check both the bridge and the main street/back underbrush on your side of the canal. On the latter, see where I placed the heart - you want to stay back in that room and not visible from the main hallway or you will die when somebody comes up from the church. If you have scavenger you can really mess people up with claymores (one time I killed the same slob 7 times in a row), but it's really hard to beat a retreat when you get outnumbered and it's a bad place to hide when you have a killstreak.

                              TIPS

                              1. Moving across the river canal: Really, there's only one way to do this semi-safely, and it is the drug store/church bridge. You sprint and jump over the railing into the canal, and then go up the stairs at the far south of the map. This is the safest way to do it. I will sometimes cross the north bridge if I'm confident my team holds it. I never, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever cross the middle bridge or get anywhere near it.

                              2. You know that spot I sprint to if I start near the villa? You CAN jump the wall behind that spot, and this is very, very useful if you are outnumbered with people coming across the small bridge. What you do is sprint towards the wall, jump, and then jump again at the very top. There are a few places like this on various maps (notably Quarry) and I'm not even confident I've found them all.

                              3. Stay out of the yellow areas unless you are hellagood at running and gunning and getting out of the way of sniping.

                              4. As always, have a backup class with cold-blooded and a launcher to take down air support. I will immediately switch to that class the first time air support takes me out.

                              5. There's a lot of action at the store and the cantina. I avoid going to these two places, but I will hang around in places where I can take out the people who go there.

                              6. Finally, and as a rule, remember that (a) these strategies are really only good for TDM, and (b) I can only give you a small taste of my strategy when I do these write-ups. Use the knowledge in this write-up against me at your own risk!

Sorry, was there a question? I was too busy going 35-4 on Rust and getting a nuke on Rundown (before Nikuman's lesson).

The highlight of the day was capturing the flag with 0.5 seconds remaining in the game, booking it straight across high rise while my comrades fought off the foe.

Wuap, were you on today? I didn't see your name pop up, but it hardly ever shows people signing in on my screen anymore. We saw you online last night and sent invites.
