your win/loss ration must be like 20:1. One loss in 21 games seems to be a good definition of rarely. Post up.

    • Ahhhh... the advantages of teaching. From time to time you can sneak in a little afternoon delight, MW2 style.

Also, you would have to factor in point differential across games to weigh things fairly. Domination only gives you half the points for kills, but the games are longer.

Frankly, you can have your MW2 sabremetrics. I'm more interested in who is more likely to die in an encounter with me - me or the other guy.
Concerning the point differential, domination gives half the points for kills, but also extra points for capturing the flags, so I think it evens it out (or at least I'm sure that was IW's intentions.

I understand the point about deaths, but a higher KDR will get more points from killstreaks, etc.

I agree that it is best determined on the field of battle, but given the current situation, that's not possible.

I think skill is how much you contribute to the game. If you're sitting around getting 8-2, 11-3, 9-1 games every time, that might be your style, but the guy getting 23-8, 19-5, etc. is better.

I think it'd be a great indication of skill level. Better players get more points per hour.

Intentions aside, I'm not sure that it does even out. It seems like we're creating our own version of Fantasy MW2. We can have a draft in a couple of weeks, pick a player or two, have a league based on Friday night performance, spend hours breaking down projections based on competition, etc. We have taken dorkdom to a new level - we are now creating a dorky derivative simulation activity based on a dorky virtual activity. Aren't we proud!
Awesomeness now has a name. Let me introduce myself.

The pride cycle is referring to people such as you xboxers. You're vain..

I'm just doing what both the bible and BOM teach.. being honest with my fellow man. It's not pride, it's honesty.. I don't want to get locked out of the celestial kingdom because I wasn't honest with you guys.

I was getting really excited about this fantasy league until you started talking about dorkdom...

                      • The XBox guys are those dudes who play Capture the Flag and sit back and snipe while their team gets trashed....and after while the next game is loading they are excited that they went 20 and 15.

I am awful with the sniper riffle. I can admit that. Not everything about my game is perfect like the PS3 boyz.
