Had a good time playing last night even though the only person I could connect with was Fusnik.

Earlier in the night I was playing with JTauk we were playing sabotage against a team where every single one of them was at least level 5 prestige or higher. They had obviously put in a ton of time on the game.

So we start out getting waxed, get one of the bombs to blow up but could not get the second one. When we switch sides we lose half our team so its 6 on 3. They get one bomb early and we hold them off for 4 minutes with 3 guys to force OT. In OT one of their guys gets a nuke and we lose.

They started talking so much shit it was unbelievable. We remind them that its 6 on 3 and everyone on their team has put in 10+ hours and they quieted down a bit. The next game is search and destroy and they get smoked. Slowly they all back out without saying a word.

That was really frustrating me that I couldn't join up. I read on one forum that if you extend the invite, then the invited person signs off PSN and then back on, they'll be able to accept the invite and join the lobby. Maybe we should try that out if this continues.

I really like the demolition game, when I was playing on Sunday on Skidrow, I was protecting the site (that house in the corner where you can look out one window down that long tunnel) and I could sense they were coming from the other end of the house (from the playground). I went out with my AA-12 blazing and mowed down 4 of them before being killed by the 5th. I was actually happy to be killed by the 5th since i already got my killstreak and then I could watch the replay of me coming out Rambo style.

After watching the Barrett sniper in action on Hurt Locker, I don't see how that gun wouldn't kill someone regardless of stopping power, or where they're shot, that thing is sick.

That reminds me we were playing last night and I was behind some sandbags on Favela the other team kept respawning and running right towards me, I picked off 7 straight in about 20 seconds before finally getting killed.

If you were to shoot someone with the .50 cal in the arm or leg, it would most likely rip of the limb. Watch a few ballistic tests or videos of impact. The gun is a beast. I also have seen it take down a helicopter in The Shooter

I played by myself for about 2 hours last night. I saw that Coach and HL were on right when I signed on, but they apparently signed off as soon as they saw me to avoid an awkward moment. Lost Student was up all night playing too.

Of course, if they are in a game then I would not want them to quit half-way through just to add someone.

Yeah, just send out an invite or two. Sometimes I'm playing with my brothers and won't join. Sometimes I'm on a roll in a group full of noobs and want to keep running up the stats. So don't take offense if I don't join up. But I often do, and I enjoy playing with most people, as long as they aren't idiots. And sing bastardized versions of the Oompa Loompa songs from the Gene Wilder in the hopes they'll get 2 kills next game instead of one.

I do absolutely end games to join invites, though.

Also, I have been using the FAL recently. Ever since I prestiged I have missed the M16, and I think the FAL feels pretty similar, once you get used to single-fire. The FAL feels more accurate, especially at longe range. The FAL recoils a lot less than some of the other assault rifles like the SCAR-H and TAR-21.

I probably won't stick with it forever, but I hope to unlock everything on it before I move on to the M16 (I think I have about 9 levels to go until I unlock that one, though).

I am also looking forward to the AK-47 once I hit 70. I only played with it a few games before I prestiged, but I liked it.

Is there anyone else who likes the FAL? Do you use it on a regular basis even given the choice of (what I think are) better guns such as the M16 or AK-47?

I've not used the FAL, but I've considered it.

FYI, recoil is significantly reduced with a silencer (although you ostensibly lose range too - I haven't noticed much of a range penalty with the ACR).

I've not used the FAL, but I've considered it.

The FAL is bad ass. Very accurate and powerful. I like it a lot. Lost Student, if you are looking for a poor man's M16, you need to try the FAMAS. 3 round burst that is still quite powerful and more mobile.

I did use the FAMAS for a few games after I prestiged because I was looking for something similar to the M16. I don't remember exactly why, but I didn't really like it--maybe I was so used to the M16 that I expected an identical feel-the same recoil, etc.

Maybe now that I am used to switching between guns a lot more since my favorites have not been unlocked yet, I should revisit the FAMAS. Give it another chance.

On an unrelated note, this thread is probably my most favorite of the entire site. I can get my MW2 fix during the day or whenever I can't play (like right now).

I agree. When COD 5: World at War was announced as a return to WWII, you could hear the collective groan of gamers everywhere. Those bouncing betties were pretty sweet though. I'd take those over claymores.
