MW2 Double XP Memorial Day Weekend ruined me. I got absolutely nothing done around the house. Nothing.

I did go from lvl 68, to my first Prestige, to level 35. I was pissed when the double xp turned off at 9 PM last night.

I did have a 23 kill streak though. Thought that was pretty awesome.

I took my k:d ratio from .51:1 to .75:1 after this weekend.

Impressive. I'm at a .51 k/d right now and hoping to move up to the .75 range. It's taken me long enough to get a good feel for the maps, improve my weapons/classes, and get used to the controls. I went from a .45 to .51 over the weekend. Hopefully I can keep it up and be above a .6 in the next two weeks or so.

Holy crap tick, that is a TON of playing. A TON. Do you still golf? B/c I'm not sure where you would fit it in given how much you must be playing.

If k/d is the key measure you are using, I advise (1) not playing anything but TDM (my k/d has taken a slight hit from all the domination I've been playing) and (2) concentrating more on the d than the k. The k will come.

If I am running with CUFFERS I play only Mosh Pit. If I am running solo I play TDM.

My killstreak right now is Javelin, Harrier, Chopper. If you get to Javelin then the other 3 happen very very fast.

I quit using Hardline Pro and a Perk and went with Stopping Power Pro. I am much better that way.

But I cooked some kick ass chicken on Saturday and a killer Tri-Tip yesterday. She keeps me around for my cooking. She is willing to put up with my shit because of it.

I've found my scores are better when I am playing Free For All than team. Granted, I haven't been playing team as a real team with a headset either, so that probably makes a HUGE difference.

And I agree on the d more than the k. Occasionally the old Halo self in me comes out and I get impatient and try to go kamikazee. Fun, but not smart. Definitely getting there though.

If I get you frustrated and coming back to try to take me out several times, and I die the fourth time, I won that exchange 4-1. That's how I think. Pissed players are not often good players - they lose all rational thought and good gameplay.

Ask FN Phat how much he has to watch for claymores when he's on the other team. If I get you frustrated and coming back to try to take me out several times, and I die the fourth time, I won that exchange 4-1. That's how I think. The game is so different than Halo.i loved to run and gun in Halo. MW2 is more of a tactical game, which is great. It's just been different than what I was used to. I think you can still play Halo tactically, just not run and gun as much on MW2.

Killstreaks still frustrate me although not as bad now that I understand them, same with classes. I do wish there were more grenades. I find myself forgetting about them, especially the frags, since you only get one.

It's taken me a while but I think I've finally been convinced. And just in time for NCAA 2011!!!

I recently learned of the awesomeness that is claymores combined with Scavenger. It's fun to set up two or three claymores in a nice, enclosed space (like the brown room with a single staircase on Bailout). If they take out one that's easy to see, they think they made it and come charging through only to be hit with another claymore. I also found that I could scavenge a claymore from most of my kills, so I can keep repositioning them for as long as I stay alive. It's my new favorite tactic.
