I only mention having it off b/c I read on some other forum that you could turn it off if you didn't like it.

So you can turn it off. Has anyone else played with it turned off? I would be really interested in seeing how a game went where all players turned it off.

On an unrelated note, I have started successfully using a couple of the mounted guns recently. I only use them sporadically (ie once or twice in a game) because it only works with the element of surprise.

Wasteland and Rundown are my favorites. It's fun to mow down three or four unsuspecting enemies.

I'm pretty sure auto aim is not a feature that can be switched on and off. My sensitivity is the default sensitivity, I move enough that any higher sensitivity would create extreme motion sickness.

also, i've turned into the most obnoxious mw2 player of all time. thermal barrett and noob tube with danger close pro are how i get the vast majority of my kills. i think jtauk can attest to that after our game of hqp last night when we were on opposite teams.

I'm interestested to see if HL has noticed aim assist. Or perhaps I've never had it on this whole time.

There are many people who say you CAN turn it off for multiplayer, but no one has spelled out HOW to do it yet. So who knows.

I've also read that it only works when you aim down sight, so you won't notice it if you're hip firing. Its also much more prevalent with snipers I guess. I have about 3 kills with a sniper rifle, so that might have something to do with it.

So I just popped on for a few games (with my new level 6 sensitivity ) and the first game I jumped into I immediately heard the nuke siren. I thought it was super lame it would put me into a game at that point, but then I noticed that the siren had something like 16 minutes left, and the time never went down.

then I noticed that no one on any team had any points, despite plenty of people have lots of kills. One guy had 200 points, but he was the only one. So I jumped out. I've never seen something like that before.

this is my problem as well. I tried turning up the sensitivity and spent most of the game trying to hold off retching.

So we had a a lot of guys on last night. I got invited to the group, but couldn't party up (we were too many people) so I was the only CUF guy on the other team. I don't mind this, since I take some sadistic pleasure in shooting my CUF brethren, but my team was terrible. They wouldn't play defense, and they sucked at offense. I finally gave up too, and just went Rambo-style, which isn't very helpful for the old K/D ratio. The CUF team was hitting from every side, and was on fire.

Then someone left (wuap, right?) and there was room for me, so they backed out and I partied up. It took a while to find an opposing team, but when we did, it was like I was playing against the CUF guys all over again... we got run over by a train. I've never seen a more skillful team, and they totally lit us up. We played a couple of rounds of domination, and we were able to capture points a couple of times, but these guys were unreal.

8BR, Hot Lunch, Niku, Flyn, FN Phat, for a while Colly Wolly, and I were U N R E A L last night. I could tell tell the stories and the number of accolades earned but no one would believe them. Suffice it to say many a youtube video would have been made last night if we were capturing it. Total and utter destruction in every game we played. We have never been on a streak like that.

My favorite part was when Niku had to get off about 4:30 his time to head to the start of his 10K. Ha!

I will have to say, that last night might have been one of the funnest nights we have ever had playing COD. We were awesome and hell, pretty damn funny as well. So much fun. See you all tonight.

Sucks that I missed it. I will be ready to play Sunday night. hopefully others will still have the itch to play after a weekend of kicking ass.
