Both are accurate. It bucked the trend though of recent HBO docs. It actually had enough material for 6 episodes. It wasn't just 3-4 episodes of filler.

It had some cool moments. I’m a sucker for the fantastical. And I did appreciate how it honestly dealt with racism and homophobia. But there were a lot of moving parts that didn’t get resolved well. Just uneven.

The episode where Hippolyta travelled through time and space was one of best episodes of TV I’ve seen in a long time.

Agree. First HBO docuseries I’ve liked in a while.

Mare of Easttown is pretty good so far. Kate Winslet plays the role of a grumpy detective working a murder case in a Pennsylvania town.

Really enjoying it. First two episodes were great. The third was a bit mediocre, but that's bound to happen in a show like this. Reminds me a bit of Broadchurch, but a bit darker and grittier.Kate Winslet is a great actress. I've enjoyed her in just about everything, except for Titanic (what an awful movie).

I'm liking it a lot. Reminds me of the first season of The Killing.

Very effective plot twists/cliffhangers at the end of each episode!

Mare of Easttown Episode 5, wow. I haven’t felt that kind of tension in a tv show since maybe True Detective Season 1.

That was a great episode. The last five minutes or so were really well done.

Jean Smart often steals the show on Mare of Easttown and now she has a new HBO Max show called Hacks. She plays an aging stand up comic who begrudgingly hires a young writer to inject some youth into her routine. I believe 5 episodes are available to stream with new ones dropping Thursday nights. Smart is excellent as you'd expect. I'm really liking it.
