This game was the bomb. I remember playing it at a friend's house... it was on a tape. Not sure what system it was.

We too had the Colecovision! We didn't have Time Pilot, but we did have Ladybug, Donkey Kong, Donkey Kong Jr., Mousetrap, Zaxxon, and Smurfs. It was amazing.

You and I would have been great friends in the 80s. We had all the same games!

That Smurf game has got to be on the list of Worst of All Time. Grass kills you? The only moving enemy is a bird/bat thing? And then once you've rescued Smurfette, you're done. They just start you over again.

          Wow.

Pitfall should end the discussion, basically the best game ever made.

I loved taht you could stand on the alligator's head. Pitfall was the shizz, but I rated Yar's Revenge slightly higher.

I tend to agree with this, but Frogger is an underrated classic as well.

A couple of years ago I bought an [ame=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Atari_Flashback]Atari Flashback 2[/ame] on clearance for $6 at Radio Shack. I couldn't play it more than a few times because it nearly bored me to tears. Having grown up with NES, SNES, Sega and Xbox, I couldn't stand how poorly controlled the Atari games were. Threw it away when moving.

You can't rate the game unless you played it in its era. sorry.

What if I have played other games from its era and it clearly sucks in comparison?

But you can't put your fingers on the youtube video and know how difficult it was to time the jump over that grass. I'm serious!

True enough. I will buy a ColecoVision and the game off eBay and give it a whirl.
