Yeah, but the book anyway is a bit of a whodunnit. Lots of the intrigue is following the investigation and the informants, etc. I understand that the movie gets right to the point and you know who is behind everything from the beginning. I'm not at all sure I want to see The Beekeeper, as it's a Jason Statham movie, but I like the premise. From the preview it looks like a kindly older woman (Felicia Rashad) kills herself because she got scammed by one of those call centers that implant bugs on gullible people's computers then charge unconscionable amounts when one calls the provided help number. Statham's character does what we'd all like to do to such businesses. It also helps that the ultimate bad guy is Jeremy Irons, but I'm still unsure. The preview, even just the first 60 seconds, probably covers it.
