The first two seasons are excellent. Like all series it loses gas in the last couple of seasons but I still enjoyed it through.
great on so many levels...and don't sleep on the soundtrack

Has Jon Stewart chimed in to call Harry Truman a war criminal?

We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. We had that chance with Scott Pilgrim vs. the World.

          Ha.

Sad to see Jon Stewart turn into such an annoying scold.

If he thinks Harry Truman is a war criminal, then yes.

Isn't that just a snide joke that Mol came up with? I happen to like Jon Stewart the activist. He might be an annoying scold to some, but seems like he has at least done some heavy lifting to get vets medical coverage from the burn pits. That's probably better than most comedians end up accomplishing...

I think Jon Stewart was far more effective in his Comedy Central role. He just seems like an angry old man now.

                  • Stewart made the war criminal observation fourteen years ago on Comedy Central and walked it back an episode or two later.

                        • I've been looking forward to the film adaptation of Killers of the Flower Moon for a long time, and it's finally coming out, albeit not until October. With a great cast (DiCaprio, DeNiro, Lithgow, Jesse Plemmons, etc.) and directed by Scorsese, I hope it does the story justice--it's a very sad chapter of U.S. history. In the early 20th century, [we're told that] the wealthiest area (on a per capita basis) in the world was northeastern Oklahoma on an Osage Indian reservation. Oil had been discovered. Unsurprisingly, a lot of vultures swept in to grab a piece (or all) of the action. Several murders resulted in the Osage tribe's eventual loss of most of its wealth. Not sure if this will be part of the screenplay but a young FBI agent came from D.C. to help with the investigation and to make a name for himself (J. Edgar Hoover).

I am also really looking forward to this. The book is excellent, although as you note, tragic because it is a true story.
