Don't much care for Anne Hathaway singing, but what an interesting cast they've assembled. Sasha Baron Cohen as Thenardier? Jackman and Crowe. Amanda Seyfried as Cosette. I'll definitely go see it. But I won't expect great singing performances.

If it turns out they can't sing, I'm really not interested in watching it. I'm skeptical that the cast is up to the task.

Jackman is big on Broadway, Crowe was lead singer in a band before he became a movie star, and Seyfried was in that Abba movie I didn't watch. They'll be passable, I'm sure, but not spectacular. I was disappointed that I didn't get to see Liam Neeson break out singing in the earlier movie version.

Speaking of Liam Neeson, I just watched the first episode of Life's too Short on HBO, and Neeson was brilliant in a scene where he was hillariously failing at trying to be funny. It was all intentional, of course.

The fact that Seyfried went to Allen HS in Allentown and still managed to make something out of herself is worthy of recognition.

I'm legitimately saddened by the fact that Les Mis isn't currently playing on Broadway, as I was hoping to take Mrs. D when we visit NYC this fall. I'm also saddened by the fact that the professional production currently touring the U.S. doesn't incorporate the revolving stage. I'm also currently 130 pages into the book, which is <cough> 1400+ pages long!

And with that, I conclude this random summary of my Les Mis related thoughts at the moment.

Amanda Seyfried is a DUI moran that crashes into cop cars, texts while driving, hits and runs, and blocks traffic while attempting slow 3 point turns. She is attractive sometimes, though.

I was lucky enough to see this in London in 1987 with the original London cast. By far the best theater experience I've ever had.

Come to Shakespeare and see it! Give you a chance to get out of that hellhole you inhabit.

I saw it in 96 and again in 2005, it's just a great great show and experience.

Well, because he thought it was good sport. Because some men aren't looking for anything logical, like money. They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned, or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn.

It seems you have the wrong Amanda. This is the one whose boobs can tell whether it's already raining outside.
So Russell...what do you love about music? To begin with, everything.

One of my favorite books ever - took an entire summer to read. I had to use an dictionary to better understand the English translation.

Ah, you are right. I was thinking of Amanda Bynes.

                          Go Amanda Seyfried!

That's a shame because what you accused her of would have validated her attendance at Allen HS.

Her scenes with Julianne Moore in Chloe validated her career. Rawr!
