The last concert I have been to is Hannah Montana, 2008 or 2009. When she was HUGE. I should probably go to at least one more before I die so that is not what I go out on.

I was at the same show, I remember the FHE crack. Got a pretty good reaction. I do hate the DC/ESA arena for concerts though, horrible acoustics.

I made it up to that comp the next year when I scored tickets from a member for him to see Ty Detmer and the Packers play a preseason game against the Rams.

I couldn't go because I had Dodgers tickets with my comp, a second companionship, and a pair of Sisters. Tom Selleck played in a USC alumni exhibition game. Brett Butler and D. Straw each hit a homerun. One of the Elders got a little naughty (by mission standards) with a Sister in the back seat on the way home.

          This post sounds like grapevine.

That's got to be close to a board record for most times seeing one band. My record is 3 (Soul Coughing).

I was kind of like a Boingo version of the Dead Heads, except I didn't follow them all over the country. Saw them in SLC, Phoenix, Denver, LA, San Diego and NY over about 15 years.

Favorite concert by far, for sentimental reasons: Ray Charles in Abravanel Hall a few months before he died.

Funnest concert, by far: Oingo Boingo and Red Hot Chili Peppers at Parkwest. Flea and Anthony Kiedes were running off stage to put on oxygen masks to avoid passing out. Tons of energy.

Wild: Black Flag (I think) at the Speedway Cafe. Early 80's. I was WAY under age.

I was at that same Boingo concert. It was a lot of fun. I had forgotten about the need for oxygen masks.

The other opening band was Food For Feet, or something like that. Wasn't that basically Boingo without Danny Elfman?

That's right, there was another opening act and it was some of the Boingo crew. I missed most of that set because I arrived late. I learned that day to make sure the vehicle I'm in has a jack and spare tire. That was the last time I let my wife convince me to go to a show in her brother's car.

My first concert was N*SYNC at the fair grounds in 1997 or 1998.

I've also seen a few Christian rock artists. And Evanescence.

Yeah, my concert history is pure shit.

                            Best concerts:

MMW in Seattle. At the time they were never hitting Utah on tour and their west coast dates usually were only California shows, Seattle, and maybe Vegas. The were touring on an album with horns so each city they have local horn players sit in. I've seen MMW 5 times and that show really stands out as the best. All 4 were good.

Garage a Trois in SLC. I love anything with Skerik and Garage a Trois really is a good live band.

Soulive in SLC. Opened for Galactic. The music was great. Soulive are crappy songwriters but they tear it up live.

Critters Buggin in Portland. Again, Skerik = great show, each and every time.

Someday, I will see Zorn live. It is something I must do before I die. Unfortunately, pretty much the only way to see Zorn live is to travel to New York or Europe. He rarely plays anywhere else. Maybe an occasional show here and there in San Francisco or LA.

Best concert I have been to was Korn and Rob Zombie. Zombie puts on one hell of a show.

Kid Rock wasn't too bad either. Jerry Cantrell opened for him with his band Big Brown Trucker. He was playing a bunch of his Alice in Chains songs.

I still want to see Pearl Jam in concert.

I was there for that show as well.
