Not sure if this is a brag to this crowd or not, but my wife and I and our friends attended a Wilco Concert at the Greek in Berkeley on Saturday. It was a great show. Gorgeous weather, beautiful moonlit night, fantastic guitar playing, Tweedy was in fine voice, and lots of second hand mellow.PLesa excuse the tpyos.

There's three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who's got the same first name as a city; and never go near a lady's got a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, everything else is cream cheese. --Coach Finstock

Tickets went on sale this morning for a rare Barbra Streisand concert (floor seats available for only $525!). It's the day before the election. I thought of buying a pair and inviting IPU as my date, as I'm sure both the timing and the political sympathies of the performer would make it a memorable evening. Sadly, I have to be in Kauai that week.

We have tickets for Wednesday night here in Redding. Probably not nearly as mellow as yours. At least not inside the theater.Originally posted by creekster View PostNot sure if this is a brag to this crowd or not, but my wife and I and our friends attended a Wilco Concert at the Greek in Berkeley on Saturday. Ours was an outdoor venue or it would have been very mellow. Our friend is the new bishop in our ward and I told him he would fail a drug test on Sunday morning if the place had a roof.Originally posted by bluegoose View PostWe have tickets for Wednesday night here in Redding. Last night's Wilco concert was amazing. Tweedy's vocals sound incredible live and the guitars were really rocking.
We even had crazy-front-row-fan-guy that every few minutes ran up and slapped his hands on the stage and yelled at the band members. After about 30 minutes he was escorted outside by some nice guys in black shirts and big muscles. Tweedy admitted that it was a sigh of relief, as the psycho dude was making him a little nervous.
Great spot for a concert, too.

Got my tickets for the Psychedelic Furs show in SLC on Oct. 8. I would have made it a FHE activity, but none of the kids are old enough to get in, as the show is at The State Room."Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance and the gospel of envy; its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery." - Winston Churchill

Only crap concerts come to Vegas, and when they do they cost about 2x as much as other cities.Ain't it like most people, I'm no different. We love to talk on things we don't know about.

Ridiculous night at the GZA show! Apparently it was the worst promoted show of all time b/c there were like 100 people there. Killer Mike did a set first, which was cool, and then came and rapped in the crowd while people blew weed smoke in his face. Fun times.
THEN the GZA came out and rapped a song, but then came out into the crowd and did all the songs in Liquid Swords. It was amazing- especially for me, who was an O.G. Wu Tang head back in the day. There's this song off Liquid Swords "Living in the World Today" where there's a back and forth between Method Man and the GZA. GZA rapped Meth's part and I rapped the GZA's part. Pretty much a fulfillment of my Wu Tang dreams.
The arena was empty, so it was just a mob around GZA (who was walking around rapping), taking pictures and filming. Oh- also did the music video walk on GZA's right hand side during the first verse of Liquid Swords (which is his signature song). Kickin it w the Master.

In a coincidental move, considering my last 2 posts, the Black Keys entered the stage to the instrumental of 'Liquid Swords' booming from the speakers!Originally posted by Commando View PostHad a client text me and give me a ticket to the Black Keys tonight!
