The song kinda goes down hill from there with Little Suzie; or not depending if one has a dark sense of humor.
I really liked warren zevon. Little known fact: his mother was Mormon. This is true, for wikipedia confirms it to be so
    PLesa excuse the tpyos.

So Russell...what do you love about music? To begin with, everything.

          One of the worst lines:

"I was working as waitress in cocktail bar, that much is true."

That song is 30 years old by the way. I can remember hearing it on the radio. When you can start remembering when things came out 30 years ago, it begins to get depressing.
Part of it is based on academic grounds. Among major conferences, the Pac-10 is the best academically, largely because of Stanford, Cal and UCLA. “Colorado is on a par with Oregon,” he said. “Utah isn’t even in the picture.”

From one my favorite bands of my youth:

            The smell of burning leather
as we hold each other tight
            As our rivets rub together
            flashing sparks into the night...

According to another great writer and friend, Hunter S. Thompson, Warren Zevon was a "Mormon Jew"...and a "fellow failed Jesuit".

If I could read your mind, love, What a tale your thoughts could tell. Just like a paperback novel, The kind the drugstores sell. Then you reached the part where the heartaches come, The hero would be me. But heroes often fail, And you won't read that book again Because the ending's just too hard to take.

                    • And so you see I have come to doubt
All I once held as true
                      I stand alone without belief
The only truth I know is you

And as I watch the drops of rain
Weave their weary paths and die
I know that I am like the rain
There but for the grace of you go I

[nomedia="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Y0dcizOTI0"]A Better Place to Be - YouTube[/nomedia] - Harry Chapin.

Harry Chapin was a master when it came to putting a story into song. I was 14 when I first heard this song on the radio, and I became a Harry fan.

When I put our second son to bed at every night as a baby, I would sing Taxi to him, and he would always fall to sleep by the end. By the time he was 3, I'd skip a word, and he would say it for me. I must have sung that song to him about a thousand times. Later we had another baby so he got the big boy treatment, and he got a book from his mom before bed. When he was 18, he was in the car with me, and he heard the song on the radio for the first time, and we had never talked about the song since I used to sing it to him. He reaction was priceless. He recognized the song and kinda knew the words, but he had no recollection of ever hearing it before or of me singing it to him. It really spun him for a loop.

                                Both are good memories.
