  • Man I love Chapelle. Cracks me up how a lot of the SJWs are writing reviews saying he is predictable and not funny.

A lot of the Netflix show was the same as we saw here with Rogan at Usana but still funny.

One of the most thought provoking parts of his Netflix special is about the absurdity of widespread, legalized abortion when we criminalize failure by men to pay child support: If you can kill it then I can abandon it.

    Crude but logical.

    • I liked the Chapelle special, too. The only controversial thing I heard was when he was saying MJ didn't do it. And I loved that abortion bit, too. He's just a master-- I would have loved to have caught a Chapelle/Rogan bill.

Yeah it was great. Joe Rogan was funnier than I expected.

He's one comedian that has really improved his skills over the years. He's so much funnier now than he was five years ago. Usually you see the opposite happen.

How is that logical? Abortion before birth = / = abandonment after birth.

That's the point. Killing is way worse than abandonment. So why is one allowed/encouraged but the other is criminalized?

Surprise! - Humor is often not funny - and logic is often more thought provoking than really what's applicable in real life.

Chappel doesn't really believe in abandonment after birth - but he's also saying that abortion is not as cut and dry and many people would want you to think. So he makes his point by inserting an absurd notion into an scenario which may help people understand the abortion is an absurd solution in and of itself. After all - abortion is the intentional killing of a human life - and if a mother has "the right" to choose - "kill or live" - why can't the father have the right not - "to pay" or "not to pay" for the unwanted child. Not paying for a child is at least a better option than killing the child. That was the point, and he wrapped it in humor to subtly thought provoke the audience.

I ah ent watched the skit so I can’t comment on that, but I’ve always had the position that if a woman can have the choice to abort her child, the man should have the choice to not be legally considered the father, at least until the child is born.

                    • Just started The Crown. Excellent acting and production so far. But I think Hans Zimmer kind of mailed it in with the score. I keep thinking Inception when I watch it.
