I am a little late to the game but just finished this. That was some good stuff. Master of None.
New Aziz Ansari show. I've only watched the first episode, and its a little uneven, but generally funny. This feels a little like Aziz doing Louie, but not as good.Ain't it like most people, I'm no different. We love to talk on things we don't know about.

There are some great episodes. Eric (from Tim & Eric) absolutely kills me. Aziz is nowhere near as sympathetic or funny as Louie, but there are some pretty great moments on this show.Originally posted by falafel View PostMaster of None.

I didn't realize that was Eric (mainly because I've never watched Tim & Eric) but he is funny. The bounce-house scene at the kid's party was classic.Originally posted by Commando View PostThere are some great episodes. Eric (from Tim & Eric) absolutely kills me. I'm a skeptical a-hole apparently. Once I realized it was him I loosened up and laughed a lot more.Originally posted by falafel View PostI didn't realize that was Eric (mainly because I've never watched Tim & Eric) but he is funny. The bounce-house scene at the kid's party was classic.
One of my favorite lines: "I sent her an E-vite to my heart.... She declined." Not as funny typed, but he has a deadly delivery.

I added that to my list. I like Stellan Skarsgard. However, it seems like the "fractured brilliant detective" genre is pretty saturated at this point.Originally posted by creekster View PostThe new Netflix. Speaking of that, another quote by Eric, after finishing the BBC Sherlock: (to the effect of) "I'm going to be honest, I didn't understand a word of that indecipherable accent. But the visuals are crayyy"Originally posted by falafel View PostI added that to my list. I like Stellan Skarsgard. Agree. I was just thinking today that I would like to see a series about a detective who was emotionally stable, not psychologically compromised and was just kind of average in their job. But that wouldn't be much fun to watch.Originally posted by falafel View PostI added that to my list. I like Stellan Skarsgard. This series is a little different and I found it well-worth watching.PLesa excuse the tpyos.

Me too. All 10 the first day it came out.Originally posted by Katy Lied View PostI like the Aziz Ansari show very much and binge watched it. I never liked Louie, but I never really gave it a chance.
However, I really really like Louie. He is more crude, but his show is more "real" if that makes any sense. There are some really heavy episodes, some really touching episodes, and some just funny or bizarre/absurdist episodes. He really captures a certain sadness and realism of his life as a single parent and also the joys of having children and teaching them right from wrong, reflecting on the mistakes of his own life and how it shades his style of parenting, the challenges of dating, etc etc etc. I have thought many times that it's not even a comedy at all but high art drama."I'm anti, can't no government handle a commando / Your man don't want it, Trump's a bitch!
