    Haha. Yes indeed.

But still an enjoyable series. We are going to miss it.

I told my wife they should pick it up in another 10-15 years and watch the estate be torn apart by the Great Depression, as Mary nags her husband into despondency and alcohol abuse while Edith and Bertie refuse to help the family who is now far beneath them and Tom, good natured Tom, eulogizes Carson at his funeral and then has to return to being a chauffeur to make ends meet. She told me to be quiet.

I actually enjoyed the show a lot but thought this last half season was below the quality of the series overall.
      PLesa excuse the tpyos.

I hate anyone who had a pony growing up.

Oh, that's too bad. The thing I loved about Downtown has always been its believability.

          • I enjoyed the series and the finale, although it's apparent Julian Fellowes has become soft in his old age (Gosford Park wasn't nearly so feelgood at the end, as I recall). He reported that prior to the finale he had received messages like, "If Edith doesn't go to bed happy Christmas night, you'd better sleep with one eye open."

I thought that, as always, Maggie Smith had and delivered the best lines, including the bit about Denker's Salome dancing around Spratt's Herod.

Me too. Also, anyone who sat in the first few rows at professional sporting events growing up.

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."
