PS3 was also hurt by it's lackluster line-up of games this season. Next year, however, should be sufficiently stacked... STACKED!

As far as what you're looking for I feel like PS3 would fill your needs nicely based off of what you've told us.

    -thanks for reading.
Sony all but conceded the motion gaming battle to MSFT. The way they failed to market the Move, in contrast with MSFTs efforts, was pretty pathetic.

I am really looking forward to Uncharted 3 next year. Uncharted 2 is a fantastic game, and up there with the best games of last year.

Are there other exclusives next year for the PS3 that I am overlooking? LBP2 will probably be a pass for me. I played about 4-5 hours on the first game, but ultimately didn't really get all that into it.

      Highly anticipated exclusives:

      Killzone 3
      Resistance 3

The Last Gaurdian (I'm most excited for this, it's from the creators of Ico, and Shadow of the Colossus)

      Infamous 2
      Uncharted 3
      LBP 2

      Motorstorm: Apocalypse

*update* I went to my sister's for a bit tonight to play the Kinect-- it was awesome! I must have burned 1000 calories playing that full body version of Arkanoid. Great game. I think it's a bit of a different animal than the wii though. I think ER's children would enjoy both.

The only one of those I might be interested in is Infamous 2, but I'm still only 1/3 of the way through the first game. Havent gone back to it in 8 or 9 months. I found Killzone to be meh and haven't heard good things about Resistance 2.

              Understandable.

Did you ever play Ico or Shadow of the Collosus?

Never played Ico but Shadow of the Collossus is one of my favorite games. I have thought about buying the 199 Xbox 360 but this game will have me wait until I have the money for a ps3

Nope. Should I? I generally dont care for games produced by Japanese developers.

The PS3 has had more quality exclusives since 2009. Not even Mass Effect 3 is going to be an exclusive for MS this upcoming year. The PS3 has only sold 5 million less units than the 360 so unless a developer is connected at the hip with MS, the 360 isn't going to be getting very many exclusives that are worth a damn (and they haven't been getting very many). Even Bungie, the developer of Halo, was bought by Activision and will be developing on multiple platforms now.

Besides Uncharted 3 and the release of Mass Effect 2 on the PS3, I'm looking forward to two titles: Infamous 2 and Batman Arkham City.
Part of it is based on academic grounds. Among major conferences, the Pac-10 is the best academically, largely because of Stanford, Cal and UCLA. “Colorado is on a par with Oregon,” he said. “Utah isn’t even in the picture.”

How many games that you can't play on the PS3 have you actually played on your PC?

For what reason? I would hope you wouldn't dismiss a fantastic game just because it happened to be developed in Japan.

Ico and SotC are being released together for ps3 soon. I'll probably get it.

Japanese games are just too bizarre and "off". I know I'm painting with a broad brush.

I don't like many modern Japanese games either. I usually don't like the animation style and most of their RPGs are turn based, which I dislike, as well.

While I do agree that the majority of games made in Japan have taken a large hit in quality, and are currently struggling for a new identity to make themselves viable once more. (This isn't the first time they've had trouble connecting with the american market, that's for sure.) .

I would consider Ico, Shadow of The Colossus and, if I may add one more, Demon Souls (my favorite game of this generation so far) to be significant exceptions to these descriptions. I fully understand that you may not be interested, I just wanted to place these names out there, on the interwebs, with a strong recommendation.

Ico and SotC are both not RPG's; they are adventure games. Demon's Souls is an Action RPG

Thanks. I've heard a bit about Demon Souls from friends who have played it and enjoyed it. They said it is fun but VERY difficult.
