Sprints seems to be suggesting that the unlimited data plans will apply to the iphone 4.Originally posted by Uncle Ted View PostBTW, has sprint announced what their iPhone plans are going to be? If sprint gives iphone 4s customers their $80/mo unlimited everything plan I may drop my grandfathered unlimited data plan with AT&T and jump.
Discover America's Best Network with T-Mobile! Get unbeatable deals, unlimited 5G plans, and T-Satellite coverage that keeps you connected while saving big.
The only iPhone with unlimited data
Your plan options
Our competitors love to limit you to a measly 2GB of data usage. AT&T and Verizon give you unlimited text and talk, but they charge you extra after you reach that limit. At Sprint, our Everything Data plans give you unlimited data, messages and calls to or from any U.S. mobile phone nationwide while on the Sprint Network.
The $10/mo. Premium Data add-on is included in the prices above. If you'd like to use your phone's Mobile Hotspot feature, don't forget to add our optional $29.99/mo. Mobile Hotspot add-on.Ain't it like most people, I'm no different. We love to talk on things we don't know about.

According to their preorder for 4 everything is staying the same. I've decided to preorder the 4s tomorrow when it becomes available.Originally posted by Jeff Lebowski View PostI haven't heard yet. I am sure they will stick with unlimited though.

This is sort of iPhone related, so I'll put it here.
Sprint is upgrading from WiMax to LTE, with the first cities going live mid-2012. Hopefully that means that the iPhone 5, which damn well better be an LTE phone, will launch on all three networks.

I just preordered iPhone 4S for me and MJ. Pretty excited to get it as weve had our 3GS models for almost two years now
IMO, I don't care that it's not called a 5 instead of a 4S. The name of my phone doesn't change it's awesomeness to me."Discipleship is not a spectator sport. The only thing that pisses me off is that it isn't 4g. Other than that, I am happy with the everything else the phone can do. The problem i have is that not having 4g is a pretty big deal to me. I am probably going to get one too because I still have a 3g from more than 2 years ago and it is so slow that it really isn't functional anymore. My wife and son have a 4 and I was the last one to upgrade waiting for the new iphone. I am getting a 4s as well but I am not thrilled because in 6 months they will release a 4g model and I will be stuck with my 4s. I just can't wait for 6 months.Originally posted by Moliere View PostI just preordered iPhone 4S for me and MJ. Pretty excited to get it as weve had our 3GS models for almost two years now

and then it will be another 2 years (probably) before you get another phone. 4G has been around for 4 years by that time.Originally posted by Flystripper View PostThe only thing that pisses me off is that it isn't 4g. At that point, you give your 4S to you son, and you upgrade to the 4G. So what's the truth behind Apple's claims their 3G antenna thing is as fast as 4G?Originally posted by Flystripper View PostThe only thing that pisses me off is that it isn't 4g. Exactly right. I have two kids and my wife on my plan, so I always have someone to pass off old phones to. My wife is eligible for an upgrade, so I've thought of getting this, but I'll probably wait. If I hand down my current phone to my wife, we'd have to add another data plan, since she isn't on one now, and I don't think the differences between the 4 and 4s are enough for me to pay an extra $20 a month for data that my wife won't use. I'll just wait for 4G in the (hopefully) not too distant future.Originally posted by Sizzle View PostAt that point, you give your 4S to you son, and you upgrade to the 4G. Can you pass off old phones on Verizon? I know you can do it with ATT, but I'm not sure if that's possible with Verizon.Part of it is based on academic grounds. Among major conferences, the Pac-10 is the best academically, largely because of Stanford, Cal and UCLA. “Colorado is on a par with Oregon,” he said. “Utah isn’t even in the picture.”

If its anything like Sprint (which uses serial numbers instead of SIM cards), you can. You just have to call customer service and have them switch the codes.Originally posted by Color Me Badd Fan View PostCan you pass off old phones on Verizon? I think it has to do with the dual antennas that you are able to use to transmit the data, making the speeds approach 4G speeds and increasing the reliability in not dropping calls.Originally posted by Moliere View PostSo what's the truth behind Apple's claims their 3G antenna thing is as fast as 4G?
