Picking up a phone tomorrow and I am debating between the 16GB and 32GB versions. Leaning towards 16GB, but worrying about it a little. I have had the 32 forever. I have never maxed it, but I constantly sit around 20-22gig. So I would be hampered some if it was just 16gig.Originally posted by Jeff Lebowski View PostPicking up a phone tomorrow and I am debating between the 16GB and 32GB versions. Depends on what you need. My old iPhone (old as of 2 hours ago) was a 16gb model and it had about 1,000 songs and some podcasts as well as a movie or two on my phone and I was always pushing the 16mb limit. I never had all the music I wanted and wished I'd gone with the 32gb.Originally posted by Jeff Lebowski View PostPicking up a phone tomorrow and I am debating between the 16GB and 32GB versions. My iPhone 4S is 32gb and it looks to have enough space. If it were me, the extra $100 or so is worth the 32gb, especially with me anticipating to use the camera and video recorder more than I used to on my old model."Discipleship is not a spectator sport. I have the 16 gb model and though I have yet to really come close to maxing it out I would proavbly go with 32 gb if I did it over.Originally posted by Jeff Lebowski View PostPicking up a phone tomorrow and I am debating between the 16GB and 32GB versions. I would go 32 GB just because I think the camera will be sweet. 16 should be fine if you're not going to shoot any photos/videos but with an HD camcorder I am guessing I will use that quite a bit.Originally posted by Jeff Lebowski View PostPicking up a phone tomorrow and I am debating between the 16GB and 32GB versions. They are holding a couple for us. But the only way you can get 32gb is to do a special order.Originally posted by Sizzle View PostI would go 32 GB just because I think the camera will be sweet. 16 should be fine if you're not going to shoot any photos/videos but with an HD camcorder I am guessing I will use that quite a bit.

I went with the 64GB. I filled up my iPad pretty quickly with movies and tv shows for my boy. I figured this would be very similar and it is only $100 more for twice as big.Originally posted by Jeff Lebowski View PostPicking up a phone tomorrow and I am debating between the 16GB and 32GB versions. Is the new iphone selling well? I went by Sam's Club this morning and the guy there was clueless about it. He looked around for a while and sure enough, they have a few of them, but didn't really know anything about how to transfer data from an old phone or anything. Maybe people just don't go to Sam's Club to buy phones?

I've read that this has been the highest selling first day release in Apple history. Part of that is that it is now available with three US carriers instead of just AT&T. All three US carriers ran out of their 16 GB online and telesales supply by mid day yesterday.Originally posted by woot View PostIs the new iphone selling well? I've now had my iPhone for over 48 hours. Before this phone I had the 3GS so the step up in quality was quite noticeable. I'm very happy with the phone so far. It's fast, like really fast. The 3GS handled everything fine, but it was a bit slow after getting bogged down by iOS5.
The best thing about the phone is the camera. Holy crap it's nice. It's actually better than our point and shoot canon which is a 8mp. I took the kids on a walk today to the park and the video recorder worked very nicely. I've got on video of my duaghter on the monkey bars and she moved from the sun to the shade during the shot and the video recorder adjusted extremely well and quickly. We'll likely never buy a point and shoot camera again.
I am wondering if there is a way to hook my phone up to the TV in a way to mirror the phone screen onto the TV. I have an Apple TV and use Airplay all the time, but I want to know if I can just broadcast the phone screen without it having to be a photo, or youtube video, or music, etc. Anyone know a way to do this wirelessly through Apple TV?"Discipleship is not a spectator sport. Yes, it's called AirPlay Mirroring...Originally posted by Moliere View PostI am wondering if there is a way to hook my phone up to the TV in a way to mirror the phone screen onto the TV. AirPlay effortlessly streams your music, videos, photos, podcasts, and games from many Apple devices to speakers in multiple rooms or to your TV.

Anyone have opinions on the just-announced Samsung Galaxy Nexus vs. the new iphone?
I'm tempted to just go with what I know, since I already have my music and whatnot organized in itunes and am quite happy with the iphone interface, but if the Samsung is roughly the same price, it would seem silly not to buy a device that is seemingly superior in every way except for familiarity.
But I don't keep up with this stuff, so perhaps I'm missing something.
