      Please, do enlighten us with an example of real lyrical genius.

        And some of us started well before law school. Dang, this theory is working out well.

          RH = lawyer music?

          That explains a lot.

            ABotu that USC band thing. Isnt that just a pale imitation of Fleetwood mac from years ago? Tusk!

            I admit I am not a huge fan of RH; I have never really listened to that much by them, either. My son gave me a boatload of their stuff but I jhave never loaded it ontio the mp3 player.

                  Paul Simon's LBM/Graceland stuff is really good. There is no need for an either/or.

                  I love that album. Graceland is one of my favorite albums from the 80s.

                      And here I thought a song about the condemnation of restricted thought and conformed thinking would be right up your alley.

                        I have missed the same amount of shows you have attended. double burn!

                        I did mix up my weekend, though.

                        However, I bid valiantly for the Fonda gig and for some freaking reason, still didn't win tickets when other people with lower bids did win.

                              It was definitely better than the udpated version done by Vampire Weekend!

                                I first heard Radiohead like everyone else when Creep gained massive air play in 1993. I must have been in 9th grade. I, like everyone else, really liked the song, but I didn't buy Pablo Honey. For me, it wasn't any better than the rest of the stuff on the radio. I remember seeing RH performing the song live at The Beach House (!) on MTV during the summer. They looked really annoyed to be there.

                                A few years later I heard "Just" on the Radio. I then saw the video which I thought was totally awesome. I scraped together my money and bought The Bends at Camelot Music. I went through two copies of that album I listened to to it so much. Its still one of my favorite RH albums.

                                My freshman year at BYU (perhaps the summer before I started) I got OK Computer. It took a little longer for me to get into, but once I was in I was totally in. We would have karaoke contests to No Suprises and Electioneering. Another awesome video pulled me in on that album, the video for Paranoid Android. Watched it over and over. Then I went on my mission.

                                Kid A came out right after I got back to BYU. I remember exactly where and when I first heard it. Everything in its Right Place felt like the most perfect opening song I had ever heard. I started collecting every b-side and live performance I could find on Napster. Lots of great stuff there. Killer Cars. Bishops Robes. I've been collecting all the RH stuff I can since then.
