I recently discovered the joys of Pandora on my phone while doing my morning cardio. On my "The Smiths" channel, a great song popped up that I'd never heard before. Check the artist and it's Radiohead. Hmm. Maybe I'll give them another try. I've done this before a couple times, but I try again. I listen all day at work today. Same old whiny, confusing, random garbage. Three strikes and you're out.

Its funny that you cite an 18 year old song from Radiohead's debut album, a song and stlye that Radiohead has consistently tried to distance itself from, as a critique of their "lyrical genius." I've never really been able to get into Radiohead, though I admit I haven't given them much of a chance. I've never given them much of a chance because I tend to like more upbeat and melodic music than I have heard from them, plus I just might be too old.
For the Head-heads out there, is there a particular album or set of songs that you would recommend as a good, and accessible, introduction to them? Or would you say that someone like me is unlikely to enjoy them?Comment

I would start with The Bends, which is early enough (and melodic enough) that a person such as yourself should be able to get a good foot hold. I think there is a class in every law school that yall take that brainwashes you into thinking its unique, quality music. All my lawyer buddys love RH. I think staying up late with your classmates, bitching about your course load, juggling family, church and the prospect that you might not make that much money for the couple of years lends to the style of a band that fancies itself so self important that they at times disregard melody.
