This is what I was going to suggest. Easy, cheap, more reliable.
Ain't it like most people, I'm no different. We love to talk on things we don't know about.

Are you on a budget or something? Nintendo actually makes an official one... or at least they used to with around 30 games that ran about 80(?) bucks. If not, get a Nintendo Switch and subscribe to Switch Online for $20 a year and you can play from a pretty big and ever expanding library of classic NES/Super NES/Nintendo 64 games. It should scratch that itch better than any knock off system. Plus there are lots of awesome arcade emulators in the actual Switch online store.

Extremely easy. I built one for my son for his birthday several years ago.

              • I ended up getting the new xbox series x. It's pretty compact and as heavy as a tank. It kind of just stands up on the side of the TV and is out of sight-- nobody really knows it's there. So far I've just been setting the thing up and organizing my games since it's been a pretty busy last couple of weeks and I haven't had time to actually sit and play a game.

I did decide to upgrade my xbox gold account to the game pass +EA Play for $5 more. You get a massive library of games to play + all the first party releases on day 1 (like Halo, etc) so if you buy at least one game a year and don't have a hangup with having to actually possess the disc, it's a really really good deal. I actually believe I'll end up saving a bit of money.

I'm pretty sure that I'm going to pass on the new systems for at least a year. There is just nothing driving me to get one now. If the Ratchet and Clank game was released already, I'd probably be buying the system so that I could give that game to my son for Christmas. He absolutely loves the Ratchet and Clank games. I'll probably end up with the PS5 because of that game. If Elder Scrolls 6 ends up being Xbox exclusive, well then I probably end up with both.

I am trying to decide if I'm going to pick up Cyberpunk 2077. I'll wait to see how the reviews are and if they are good, I'll probably pick it up for my older gen system.

                  • Also, Commando I think it is very important that I pass on the information to you that you should not blow vape smoke into your Xbox Series X console. I'm sure you planned on doing this and I hope I got you this message in time.

LOL I saw that. WTF? I guess I can thank my lucky stars my life doesn't center around vaping and playing video games -- a lethal combination, apparently.

                        • With the way the reviews are going, reports of problems with the game, and a 43 gig day one patch download, I'm not inclined to buy Cyberpunk 2077.

Some are more amusing, like the one in which Cyberpunk 2077 players can’t get their characters to keep their massive hogs in their pants. I’m sure you’ve heard of this, but if not, let me explain: In Cyberpunk 2077, you can customize the genitals for your character, V — you can choose to have a penis or a vagina, with two different penis options and a size slider. For some players, the customizable genitalia are causing issues: Their penis just won’t stay in their pants.
