Pretty much. I used a fair amount of AH gear in Hell, but mostly pretty cheap stuff. However, if you want to progress in Inferno you need to be very well equipped and you have to make significant improvements in between every act. I do quite well in Act I Inferno but get destroyed in Act II pretty easily at the moment (even with 40K+ life one or two shot kills are common). The stuff you need for Act I and Act II inferno (e.g., 800+ DPS weapons) is still pretty expensive.Last edited by pelagius; 05-29-2012, 10:36 AM.

Is it expensive in real money, expensive in fake money, or expensive in fake money that people buy with real money?Originally posted by pelagius View PostPretty much. The Real Money Auction House isn't running yet so it is expensive in fake. I don't know what the outside conversion rate is on websites. My brother, last night, said it was something like $29 real for about 1,000,000 fake. If that is right, then it would be pretty expensive to gear for inferno with real money. 1,000,000 fake will by you are very nice weapon (around 1000+ DPS) but it's not like you would own inferno with a weapon like that. Plus you would have to get all the other gear.Originally posted by Flystripper View PostIs it expensive in real money, expensive in fake money, or expensive in fake money that people buy with real money?

How do I put stuff on the auction house?
On normal I think the most I ever spent on anything (so far) is 2500. But usually I look for stuff between 500 & 1000.
It can be any combination. Currently the only AH up is the fake gold one. Once the real money one is up it will be interesting to see how the market shifts. As I don't plan on using the real money AH I hope some good stuff stays on the fake gold one.Originally posted by Flystripper View PostIs it expensive in real money, expensive in fake money, or expensive in fake money that people buy with real money?

It's another method to take gold out of the economy. Otherwise inflation eventually becomes a huge problem.Originally posted by Maximus View PostI just dont understand why blizzard feels the need to take a cut from the fake gold.

From what I've been reading it sounds like everyone is getting destroyed in Act II Inferno. It'll be a little while yet before I have to worry about it.Originally posted by pelagius View PostPretty much. I used a fair amount of AH gear in Hell, but mostly pretty cheap stuff. You still need a Prime account to watch, right? IOW, an x-box live account doesn't get you free access to Prime content, does it?Originally posted by FlynHawaiian30 View PostFYI...

Amazon Prime rocks though, so you'll never regret it.Originally posted by FlynHawaiian30 View PostCorrect. You need a prime account."Sure, I fought. I had to fight all my life just to survive. Anyone want Battlefield 3 for 1/2 off? I bought the game for my son, after he convinced me it was just "blood and shooting like COD". When he started it, I found it didn't have any parental controls, then when first F-bomb dropped 2 minutes into the game, I took it away from him (I'm mean I know). The X-box live pass hasn't been activated. So basically, it is a a car I drove off the lot, didn't' like, turned around and found out I couldn't return it.

I went back and farmed Act IV for a bit, finding new goodies and getting up to level 33. That was the ticket and I finally kicked his trash yesterday. Now I'm working through Nightmare level with the same DH.Originally posted by DapperDan View PostBeat it on normal with a monk, now working on a Demon Hunter.
If anyone runs into problems with the game getting hard (on normal), hit up the auction house for some cheap rares. After a few upgrades I facerolled Diablo. On higher difficulties it sounds like gearing up via the auction house is virtually required.

Why would an M (for mature) game have parental controls? I assume you're talking about the single player campaign. Have you read through the COD thread? Multiplayer cursing won't be better.Originally posted by Art Vandelay View PostAnyone want Battlefield 3 for 1/2 off? They don't have X-box live so in Modern Warfare you can control the language.Originally posted by SCcoug View PostWhy would an M (for mature) game have parental controls? It probably is the orthodox mo in me that I have no problem with the simulated killing, blood and gore, yet I worry about them hearing language they hear in the halls of school every day.
