I saw it. It was watchable, but not good enough to watch twice. It was, however, in that land of forgettability--between movies that are memorable because they're so good and movies that are memorable because they're so bad. So, for that reason and that reason alone, i can understand you seeing twice.
I think there is so much garbage being released these days, that if I find a film I like, I'll watch it several times. Besides, I like trains.

I honestly had forgotten that I mentioned it earlier. I think there is so much garbage being released these days, that if I find a film I like, I'll watch it several times. Besides, I like trains.

Over the weekend, I went to the final Harry Potter movie with my daughter. I've had kids at the right ages, so, though I am not a huge fan, I have read all the HP books and seen all the HP movies. I thought this one was one of the better ones, though the movie itself is not what prompted me to post. I just wanted to mention one scene.
I may be biased about this, because I've always had a bit of a thing for Helena Bonham Carter, but I thought she was absolutely great in the scene where she is portraying Hermione in Bellatix's body. Before a word comes out of her mouth, she completely becomes an awkward teenage girl, subtly but completely different than the character she has played for the last two or three movies. It was really a nice piece of acting, I thought.
Just saw "Captain America" with the fam. As a guy who read that comic bok as a kid, I loved it. Lots of fun, a great summer movie. The guy who played the Red Skull killed the role. Chris Evans (Captain A.) actually injected some nice ironic moments into the over-top story. And watch for the Stan Lee cameo. It's pretty good in this one.

I'm not a comic book guy, but can I make a comic book guy gripe?
Captain America is one of the early members of the Avengers. Captain America is played by Chris Evans.
The Human Torch of the Fantastic Four is one of the later members of the Avengers. The Human Torch is played by Chris Evans.
A film about The Avengers is scheduled to be released next year, staring Chris Evans -- as Captain America. Apparently The Human Torch isn't featured in the film, but still, couldn't they have given one of those roles to someone else?
Does anyone know how I get a hold of Stan Lee?

Sure they are. They just joined after you stopped paying attention, old man.

Yes, they won't be in the movie (which is a little weird, since they are contemporaries). Also, can't we just agree that its weird for Chris Evans to play two characters in the Marvel Universe?

You're just jealous of him.

Diary of a Wimpy Kid. Pretty funny stuff, actually. Surprisingly enjoyable.

Decent little crime drama. Reminded me in some ways of "Winter's Bone".
