There is a scene about confessing masturbation that is played for laughs. Depending on the age of your kids, either you or them might blush while watching it. Or both.

This is what I was talking about.

They didn't do anything that has caused most of their movies to recently bomb. They stayed away from agendas and just put together a fun movie.

I'm not sure it's going back to their roots, but the primary MO exhibited by Disney is to pump out sequels, "live actions", remakes, and other unoriginal "universes" (i.e. Marvel, Star Wars).

It seems to have treated them well as that is where they are making their money, so I can't blame them, but I would prefer more original content.

This was the first time that I have been in the movie theater in probably two years. It was fun.

I will say this...Disney went back to their roots and didn't do any of the dumb shit that they have been doing in recent years that ended up being self-sabotaging.
What dumb shit have they done in recent years? Legit question.

Nuremberg.is very good, focusing on the relationship between Herman Goering and Douglas Kelley, a U.S. Army psychiatrist who met frequently with Goering who was awaiting trial. The film details the difficulties of even having a trial. I've spent time in Nuremberg and have read a fair amount about the trial, but this provided a lot of information that was new and interesting, including film footage of concentration camp atrocities I hadn't seen before. Going in, I thought the idea of having Russell Crowe play Goering was stupid, so I was surprised how good he was. Even his German and then German accent didn't bother me.

We went to the Springsteen movie yesterday, my wife who is pretty indifferent to Springsteen really enjoyed it and myself who likes Springsteen wasn’t so positive about it. I was expecting a movie about him starting out and getting “Born to Run” out there and instead we got him and his personal struggles during “Nebraska”.

Champagne and Bullets. Highly recommend it. Made by some lawyer in southern California. There are actually 3 different cuts of the movie with different names. GetEven. Road to Revenge.

It has it all. Satanic cults. A musical number. A baby being sacrificed. Boobs and incredibly awkward sex scenes. The lawyer who made it says it is based on a true story.
