Yes! My oldest has taken a liking to old 50s rock and roll. So I suggested we watch La Bamba. I forgot the nudity, the scenes where Bob beats and rapes Rosie, and explicitly says he has to rape her to have sex. I ended up fast forwarding several parts. Whoops.

I probably shouldn’t admit this, but I remember most of the nude scenes in SEIQ’s second list, the PG13 ones especially so. Hey mom, at least I’m not watching a rated R!

When the quarantine went into effect here we started having family movie nights where we made popcorn and introduced some childhood favorites to our girls. It's fun to see how some movies have held up and others haven't. Also, ratings from the 80s are far different than today's.

No kidding.

There's a weird politics to the MPAA, and it's brought out the anti-art tendencies in both the left and the right.

I think you can have nudity in a PG movie and it can be just fine--it can even be positive.

Clash of the Titans (1981) is a good example.

I remember a fair amount of boobs in not rated R movies as well. But because I'm not a pervert, even though I entered puberty in the late 80s, I don't remember the specific movies. It's not like it was forever seared into my consciousness. *Cough* Airplane, Critters 2, Just One Of The Guys, The Bounty, The Invisible Kid, *Cough*

Nope, we just rarely went to the movies when I was young. I don't remember watching Dreamscape. I saw Splash and Sixteen Candles, but probably just the edited-for-TV version.

The Bounty was especially egregious, or at least I remember it that way. The portrayal was of Tahitian natives in the nude, but in practice it was a bunch of Hawaiian bikini models walking around topless.

According to imdb, The Bounty was rated PG and released in 1984. It definitely qualifies as an 80's movie with a sub-R rating and plenty of nudity. I didn't see it until a couple of years ago - Amazon Prime, I think.
