And that's also probably why I couldn't find First Solo on Nat Geo.

Also saw another interview with him where he talks about fasting, and not smoking or using alcohol. And then, "I'm just like a mormon except for the whole, you know, believing in God thing."

We thought he might be on the spectrum, but obviously he's very high-functioning. BTW, FB friends of ER Cougar were no doubt impressed to see his recent post that included a photo of him and Honnold hanging out at the climbing wall at a local gym. I was very impressed.

My daughter's cross country coach that he is a bit is a jerk. But he dated one of her friends so take that for what it is worth.

I decided he was on the spectrum when he said he decided at the age of 23 he needed to learn how to hug because it seemed that people did that a lot. So he practiced.

The most Aspergerian thing he said I thought was that it was OK having his girlfriend in the van because she is small and doesn’t take up too much room.

There's no doubt in my mind he's on the spectrum. I have seen enough of him before this film that I thought this guy is Spock. So when Jimmy Chin called him that I laughed. Gidget said Sanni is wasting her time. I agree. BTW, hell of a pull for Alex. We laughed when they were in the Vegas house. Gidget said he's just camping in his house.

As for the film I don't think I've ever been that anxious watching anything in my life. I was literally squirming in my seat throughout even though I knew he was successful. Unbelievable filmmaking.

This navy seal who is also a lead climber for the military said on Rogan that you can tell the real climbers in the theater because they cant sit still during the movie.

I haven't seen the movie, but I watched a few climbing documentaries (I think based on recommendations in the Netflix thread). I made the argument today that he may be the greatest athlete in the history of the world. The stakes are as high as they can get. The payoffs are minimal (financially). The skill set required has likely only rested in one person (him) since homo sapiens became a thing.
