I was really hoping to see Side Effects last weekend but it didn't work out. Hopefully this weekend. And I'm really hoping it's not Soderbergh's last like he keeps saying. I can believe a hiatus, but a retirement? Nah, I just can't see it.

If you are a fan of Rooney Maras non-augmented rack you will like Side Effects.Originally posted by MarkGrace View PostI was really hoping to see Side Effects last weekend but it didn't work out. 10 Lombardi trophies are owned by both sides of that girl's family, two of the best NFL families, and she's still taking off her top (and more) to get ahead in Hollywood.
I can't even begin to think what goes through these actors' minds when they decide to do a nude scene. Disrobing before the world just seems so bizarre to me.
...oh wait, I know. They think that if they don't do it, the Hollywood scumbags producing the movie will just find someone who will. Since these actors make obscene amounts of money in proportion to the work that is actually put in, they just decide the money is too much to pass up.
A little off topic, but my dad always got a kick out of all the gushing over Legacy that was done on open-mic Sunday in the 1990s. You were nobody if you had not yet seen that. He recalled seeing the main actress doing an explicit full frontal shot in this movie called The Betsy. BTW, Robert Duvall, Laurence Olivier and Tommy Lee Jones were also in it, so it was an A-list movie that simply featured some 70s bush nude scene. The casting director for Legacy overlooked that one.Last edited by Color Me Badd Fan; 02-14-2013, 02:57 PM.Part of it is based on academic grounds. Among major conferences, the Pac-10 is the best academically, largely because of Stanford, Cal and UCLA. “Colorado is on a par with Oregon,” he said. “Utah isn’t even in the picture.”

Despite MG suggesting against it, I'm watching "Antichrist". Visually, it's impressive. But I can see the potential for how fucked-up it is."I don't know the origin of said bitch booming."-Art Vandelay

I didn't suggest against it. I haven't seen it. GL and SU were trying to get me to watch it but I never did.Originally posted by BoylenOver View PostDespite MG suggesting against it, I'm watching "Antichrist". Visually, it's impressive. Well, it's certainly not for the faint of heart. And I'm not sure what to make of...most of it, but there are some fairly interesting things going on.Originally posted by MarkGrace View PostI didn't suggest against it. I haven't seen it. "Ransom," the old Mel Gibson movie. Good cast, fun action-adventure, bad-guy-gets-it-in-the-end stuff.“There is a great deal of difference in believing something still, and believing it again.”
― W.H. Auden

I wanted to do something nice for the wife yesterday so I took her to "Safe Haven". The movie was just what you would expect and I was okay with that but they had a twist at the end that made me want to throw things at the screen. It was stupid and uncalled for and I'm still trying to figure out why they did it.

Did your wife read the book? I have neither seen the movie nor read the book. Just curious if the moving ending is the same as the book ending.Originally posted by RC Vikings View PostI wanted to do something nice for the wife yesterday so I took her to "Safe Haven". She hasn't read the book so I no idea if the two endings are the same. My wife loves movies and doesn't worry about plot holes where I will pick a movie apart, she liked it and I hated it.Originally posted by Soccermom View PostDid your wife read the book?
