That's a good thought. I also wondered if he was Abe's son."...you pointy-headed autopsy nerd. Do you think it's possible for you to post without using words like "hilarious," "absurd," "canard," and "truther"? Your bare assertions do not make it so. Maybe your reasoning is too stunted and your vocabulary is too limited to go without these epithets."

None of them date. They hang out. They text. They sit in the same car or room and don't say a word...they text. Then, they go home and whack off to internet porn.
I think that's the sad truth about why these kids are retards.

We watched Argo last weekend and 3 of the 4 of us loved it. When asked why she didn't like the movie, my brother's wife said she spent the entire movie waiting for Sadaam Hussein's character to appear??? She explained that she somehow latched onto the thought that it was about the former dictator's capture when watching the trailer days before.
The walk to car after the movie was the hardest I've laughed in weeks.

This is the longest movie in history. Great images, but boring as hell. Can this just end already so I can get on...ummm...with my night?Originally posted by Katy Lied View PostSnow White and the Huntsman.
What a gorgeous film. Everything is beautiful: the evil Queen, Snow White, the huntsman, the good guys, the bad guys, the scenery, the background, the overhead shots, the action. Everything except the 7 dwarves. Such a steady hand by rookie director Rupert Sanders. He must have cut his teeth on tv commercials or something.
The identical story to Mirror Mirror released earlier in the year, this movie feeds on beauty. Snow White could not have been played by any less a beauty than Kristen Stewart, she of the quivering full red lips. Charlize Theron also has an undeniable attractiveness, and she also came loaded with an interesting back story, evil as it was.
Don't think I am giving anything away when I confess that my favorite scene is the good army riding off to battle the evil queen, as they approach the castle on the beach. Yet again, gorgeous.
Two things that bugged me:
1. Snow White is travelling fast over ground, and climbs up into snow covered mountains. Where did she get that coat? No one else is dressed differently, but I guess pixies brought her the coat.
2. Holy Hannah does Kristen Stewart have huge ears that stick out. When they're covered by her hair, you dont notice, but in the scenes where her hair is pulled back into a ponytail, she looks like a jug with two large handles. Pull the hair over the ears, hair-and-makeup assistant.
Spoiler for Spoiler:Right as Duke William was honing in to kiss Snow White, I stage whispered "wrong dude." I based my scientific guess on a careful study of the extant literature of Grimm's Fairy Tales, and a review of the legend of Snow White in particular. Either that, or the fleeting thought that huntsman Chris Hemsworth was way hotter than Duke William.Prepare to put mustard on those words, for you will soon be consuming them, along with this slice of humble pie that comes direct from the oven of shame set at gas mark “egg on your face”! -- Moss
There's three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who's got the same first name as a city; and never go near a lady's got a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, everything else is cream cheese. --Coach Finstock

I saw this for the first time over the weekend. Good stuff.Originally posted by CardiacCoug View PostCabin In The Woods was good -- glad I didn't know anything about it before watching it. It was more funny than scary, which is good since we're not into horror movies.
I also saw "Scream" and "Scream 4", both in the same vein as "CITW"."I don't know the origin of said bitch booming."-Art Vandelay

Just watched the comedy Carnage. Loved it. This is kind of an old school movie concept in that the entire movie is essentially a single scene: two couples visiting after their boys were involved in an altercation. No special effects, no cheap plot tricks, etc. The entire movie is carried on the strength of the dialogue. Stars Jodie Foster, Kate Winslet, Christoph Waltz, and John C. Reilly. All were very good, but I especially enjoyed Waltz."There is no creature more arrogant than a self-righteous libertarian on the web, am I right? Those folks are just intolerable."

We Bought a Zoo
Pretty darn cheesy and ridiculous, but entertaining I guess. It took me about half the movie to realize the long haired kid working at the zoo was SLC's own Patrick Fugit, who starred in the Crowe classic Almost Famous. And was the little girl in this the cutest thing you've ever laid eyes on? What a doll.So Russell...what do you love about music? To begin with, everything.

It had an interesting elements, but too much chasing, and the story didn't go anywhere the last half.Originally posted by CardiacCoug View PostCabin In The Woods was good -- glad I didn't know anything about it before watching it. But the second half is the key to the entire film. It's what elevates the film from being a "cabin in the woods" film to being a commentary on the entire horror genre.Originally posted by jay santos View PostIt had an interesting elements, but too much chasing, and the story didn't go anywhere the last half.Kids in general these days seem more socially retarded...
