I also like the idea of an individual immunity that the person who finds/wins cannot use - they are required to give it to someone else.

Who won the $100k this time? I didn't take note.I'm your huckleberry.

Did they give Rick the Cowboy any time on the reunion show? Aside from being kind of cranky, doing chores, and wearing a cowboy hat, he was pretty uninteresting.Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!
For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.
Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

Seriously, Sophie won? Crappy season. I guess I have been spoiled by Russell, and the hang over was inevitable."Sure, I fought. I had to fight all my life just to survive. They were all against me. Tried every dirty trick to cut me down, but I beat the bastards and left them in the ditch."

I work with a gal who is a SERIOUS survivor junkie, so we end up talking about it.Originally posted by myboynoah View PostDid they give Rick the Cowboy any time on the reunion show? Aside from being kind of cranky, doing chores, and wearing a cowboy hat, he was pretty uninteresting.
We decided that Rick really didn't say ANYTHING after the first week (and did they ever pull him aside for one of those one on one camera chats?) until there were only 6 of them left - at which time he had a little dust up with Albert. He was just kind of filler in the background, like an extra on the set. No one really knows anything more about him than they did at the beginning of the show - except that he was willing to let Cochran wear his hat, so he must be fairly tolerant of geeks.
Rick must have been pretty uninteresting.

Sophie won because Coach couldn't form an argument as to why he should've won for a million dollars - literally. Just give them the reason coach. I didn't necessarily want you to win - but you earned it. You just have to tell them why and the money is yours. But he couldn't do it.Originally posted by San Juan Sun View PostHe had a sweet 'stache too.

I would like to know who voted for whom. Did Brandon feel absolutely betrayed about the immunity search so much that he decided enough was enough and voted for Sophie?"Don't expect I'll see you 'till after the race"

When they were talking about Rick to justify voting him out, they talked about his general likability -- he hadn't pissed anyone off, he had been nice, and he had lots of humorous stories. We never heard the stories, but it sounds like he talked more than we saw. I think this must be the case, or why wouldn't Rick have been an ideal person to bring to the end?Originally posted by Eddie View PostI work with a gal who is a SERIOUS survivor junkie, so we end up talking about it.

So, I've been struggling with my absolute dislike of Colton. I can't stand him, but I'm worried that maybe I hate him because he's gay and devious. Russell did a lot of the same stuff, and I thought he was awesome. But, I think Colton is vile, and I don't think that Russell would've pulled that "Get a real job" bullshit."Wuap's "problem" is that he is smart & principled & committed to a moral course of action. His actions are supposed to reflect his ethical code.

Yeah - I wasn't a fan of Colton from the beginning. But the "get a real job" stuff, along with saying that he interacts with a lot of Black people - only to come up with his housekeeper as the only example.Originally posted by wuapinmon View PostSo, I've been struggling with my absolute dislike of Colton. Have they ever said what Colton does? What is his real job?
I think the reason I dislike Colton is because he is lazy and arrogant. Russell was at least a worker and a presence at the challenges. Russell was devious to get himself ahead, Colton is just a mean prick. There is a difference.
And I don't like Russell. But I like him better than Colton.
I'm trying to figure out if these morons will ever come to the realization that Colton brings nothing to the table for them aside from capriciously targeting people he doesn't like - with no end game strategy for why they are the target. Dude is crazy and they are letting him steer the ship. At some point they've got to figure out that he is causing the drama and decide they've had enough - or will they?
I'm still trying to figure out why he went to the effort to build an alliance with the one girl. It was so unnecessary. There were 4 guys and 3 girls in that tribe once they changed things up, so he had 4 votes to dump a girl without having to ever engage the women. Part of me thinks that since they have the upper hand - if they have faith in the men on the other tribe, they should go ahead and throw a couple of challenges and keep voting out women - so when the merge occurs the men have a big advantage. Because you know if the other tribe loses, it will be one of the men who is gone.
Interesting season so far...

My dislike for Colton centers around his immaturity. I really don't like some of his judgmental views which seem to include some racist and classist opinions. I will say this, however, I didn't think he would survive the first vote and here he is with almost everyone in his orbit dancing to his tune. You certainly have to respect his game so far, and if he makes it to the merge it is easy to see him returning on another season down the road. He is quickly becoming one of the shows most infamous "villains."

He is certainly demonstrating that being very vocal and strong in your opinion about who should be voted out - and convincing folks you are right - seems to play better than trying to fly under the radar.Originally posted by UtahDan View PostMy dislike for Colton centers around his immaturity. It's like the emperor has no clothes, yet everyone is terrified to say anything to anyone else because if the emperor find out they may end up on the guillotine.
But you are right - immaturity sums it up very well.
