Brandon is amazingly dumb. The prayer stuff was creepy.

I don't care what anyone says, all the religion stuff this season has been used very cynically by all of them except Brandon. He is doing something else with it that I can't quite put my finger on the word for but which is every bit as gag inducing.Originally posted by wuapinmon View PostBrandon is an idiot. As someone who watched every episode of Survivor for 13 seasons (!), let me be the first (perhaps) to let you guys know that life is better without this show. Seriously, until you stop watching you don't realize how annoying the show is.Prepare to put mustard on those words, for you will soon be consuming them, along with this slice of humble pie that comes direct from the oven of shame set at gas mark “egg on your face”! -- Moss
There's three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who's got the same first name as a city; and never go near a lady's got a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, everything else is cream cheese. --Coach Finstock

I'm surprised you don't see more harsh reactions from the jury. Survivor hasn't been shy to show the facial expressions and recations of the jury members in the past...perhaps they're saving it for the end. I bet Jim lights them up for the Christian stuff at the final tribal when they vote.Originally posted by UtahDan View PostI don't care what anyone says, all the religion stuff this season has been used very cynically by all of them except Brandon. Well, because he thought it was good sport. Because some men aren't looking for anything logical, like money. They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned, or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn.

Last night was irritating. Coach is an ass and his whole "I am going to pray about this" was horseshit.. I found everyone except Brandon to be insincere in their religion and a joke..
Enough with God is leading me and Coach saying this was "God's will" is a farce and he is only working Brandon in hopes of securing his vote if he makes it..

Yeah they have been showing only a little of that. I don't think Brandon or Coach will be there at the end so I don't think it matters.Originally posted by DrumNFeather View PostI'm surprised you don't see more harsh reactions from the jury. I think Coach will be. I could see it being Coach, Ozzie and Rick with Ozzie winning it all.Originally posted by UtahDan View PostYeah they have been showing only a little of that. Coach is such a douche. I sure hope the three nobodies have realized that going to the end with either Coach or Ozzie would be a disaster. Cowboy getting heated with Albert was strange. Seemed to come out of nowhere, which is just more evidence that we are only seeing a small fraction of the social maneuvering that is taking place. I didn't mind seeing Brandon go, but I will miss his lunacy. Come to think of it, the jury could have easily gone with Brandon, just as a big 'eff you' to Coach, who deserves a big 'eff you.' Has there ever been a bigger religious/spiritual douche-bag than coach? We had to Mormons on this season, and the BYU professor represented Mormon religious coolness very well... her faith seemed genuine, and it seemed to make a difference in her life, guiding her choices, but she didn't heap on the 'guided by voices' kind of b.s. that we see with Brandon and Coach.

My favorite was when Brandon sat down next to Coach last night and said "Coach I think you know by now that God talks through me."Originally posted by RobinFinderson View PostCoach is such a douche. Rick the CowboyOriginally posted by Maximus View Postwho was the other mormon besides the professor?Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!
For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.
Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

Brandon is an idiot in the game, but I actually believe that he believes what he's saying. I think he's sincere, and that makes him deeply deeply disturbing to watch, not because some find it incredulous, but that someone so unstable could claim to speak for God. When he got upset about the lingerie model girl in the camp, it was painfully obvious that he wanted her. So, he brings religion into the relationship to try to salve his panting lust with some other kind of approbation via spiritual better-than-you-ness, which makes him attack her for her putative "sins" when it's him who feels terrible for lusting after her when he's married. He's a very conflicted guy, and I would definitely not want to be around him if he got pissed off.Originally posted by RobinFinderson View PostCoach is such a douche. When he projected his insecurities on the lingerie challenge player I about had a cow. It made me sick how he was blaming her for his own problems. I have not liked Brandon at all and his religious shtick is disgusting.Originally posted by wuapinmon View PostBrandon is an idiot in the game, but I actually believe that he believes what he's saying.
