That was good. Mike seems like such a cold, tough guy, so it's interesting to hear the actor say this about his fellow actors on BB:

I'll tell you what, I learned that no matter how old you get, you can be crushed with the love of the work and the love of the people you're around. I didn't know I could be so open and so grateful for an experience.

Spoiler for Episode 8:

I'm not 100% convinced Mike is dead. A shot to the stomach or abdomen doesn't necessarily have to be fatal. It didn't seem like there was an inordinate amount of blood pouring out of him. Sure he toppled to the ground, but can't people last hours from those types of injuries? It seems to me that Mike was injured more severely in the shootout with the Cartel?

On the other hand, this show doesn't really dick around with scenes like that, which is one of the great things about Breaking Bad. There doesn't seem to be be cliff hangers that don't end up the way they appear to be.

I believe next week is the last new episode until 2013.

Me neither. I don't think I'd even bother with next season if Jesse was gone.

Sepinwall did an interview with him as well. In his review of that episode, he was pretty annoyed with how contrived he felt the plot was leading to Mike's death. He asked Jonathon Banks how he felt about it and he more or less seemed to agree with him.

Loved the episode. The storage unit scene was great ("How big does the pile need to be?"). Walt's visit to Jesse's home was understated, yet so intense. And amidst the domestic bliss around the pool in the Whites' backyard, an almost unbearable sense of foreboding. And I'm guessing that's the first season finale to end with somebody sitting on the john. Lucky for Hank he was sitting on the crapper when the thunderbolt of recognition hit him.

Crystal Blue Persuasion was a nice touch.

I liked how they had so much money that didn't even know how much was there. Any estimates of that pile?

I think it was legit. Trying to set up his semi-happy ending only to get sucked back into it with whatever happens with Hank.
