Am I the only one who had no idea who Mr. Chips was, before Gilligan started referencing him in every interview? I was shocked to learn he was referring neither to John nor Ponch!

Shit. Flynn. Isn't he Hawaiian?Originally posted by MarkGrace View PostFlynn!"Wuap's "problem" is that he is smart & principled & committed to a moral course of action. His actions are supposed to reflect his ethical code.

Two potential endings that no one has gotten close to: (Well maybe Indy got a little close.)
In Season 5a, Jesse is trying to convince Walt to sell his 1/3 of the chemical and Walt describes that he's "not in the meth or money business. I'm in the empire building business." What was the world's most famous empire? Rome. In church we've all learned that Rome fell because of gay sex. Hank starts having gay sex. Gets aids. Dies. The last three episodes are actually quite boring. Just hanging out with the hospice nurse. Tio style.
Something really weird happens and without warning Walt's guts are floating in space. Just like Badger foreshadows.I told him he was a goddamn Nazi Stormtrooper.

Huh?Originally posted by Dwight Schr-ute View PostPS. Since I'm poor at execution and have little to no self mastery, this is the order that I've seen Season 5:
Episode 1, 2, 3, last 20 minutes of 8, 9, 4, 5, 6. What a mess of a series."There is no creature more arrogant than a self-righteous libertarian on the web, am I right? Those folks are just intolerable."

It's always fun to see how the latest male anti-hero is disposed of. Having recently finished watching "The Shield" (which isn't The Wire or anything, but still highly recommended), a Scarface ending for Walt would be pretty disappointing -- and unlikely, I'd say. Even Tony Soprano didn't go out like that. I think letting him live out his cancer-shortened life having destroyed everything he cares about would be a good way to do it.

I think The Shield had the best ending of any show, I can recall.Originally posted by woot View PostIt's always fun to see how the latest male anti-hero is disposed of. Finally watched the first 8 episodes of season five last night (yeah, when you do the blue you won't sleep much, yo). This show is building up to a very explosive conclusion."Either evolution or intelligent design can account for the athlete, but neither can account for the sports fan." - Robert Brault
"Once I seen the trades go down and the other guys signed elsewhere," he said, "I knew it was my time now." - Derrick Favors

Vince Gilligan says, "i'm no expert or anything, but I understand that while hair loss often accompanies chemotherapy, it doesn't always." FWIW."I'm anti, can't no government handle a commando / Your man don't want it, Trump's a bitch! I'll make his whole brand go under,"

That may be in the end, but...
