thanks! I like it.
It seems that the fascination with pano pix is now dead, and people are back to square pix, live pix, etc. I still do the panos though, Im a sucker for them.

Still need to return here some evening when there is more interesting things going on in the clouds, but catching Crown Point lit by the sunset is always nice. If I could just get people to stop visiting there when I want to shoot it.

I like panos, but they almost have to be printed to appreciate, or have an ultra-wide monitor. Seattle skyline:

Yes, it's 7 or 8 images. You have to click on the image and download from Flickr to even see much of what's there. The original is 35,232 x 3431 pixels. (about 120 Megapixels). I want to redo that one sometime. I was trying to do 3 frame HDR for each individual image (to get detail in the dark areas, but not to blow out the lighted windows), but the tripod wasn't stable enough for the really long exposures. I had left the tripod foot for the 70-200 packed away, and while connecting directly to the camera was serviceable for 2-3 seconds, it was too prone to wobble for 25 second exposures and I didn't get clean images for the HDR merge. The end result is a little noisier and less detailed than what I wanted.

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.
Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

Because it was there. Not a great picture, too much grass. Getting lower wouldn't have worked and I didn't want to lay down in the dirt anyway.

Knew exactly how I wanted to process this one when I took it. Tempted to start a "Photography: before and after" thread.
