    Random Picture Thread

I know that there are a few of us that enjoy taking pictures, RF has posted many of his great shots. I don't always have my nice camera with me, but I do always have my little Canon Power Shot with me. I find great joy in taking pictures of random things that I see out and about, and just realized that I have an outlet to share them here on CUF. I do realize that I have an album here already, but I need more attention.

This was taken in the shop at Goldberg's Deli while waiting to meet 8BR for dinner the other night. If our falafel ever disappears, we can get more.

At the 4th of July parade in Creswell, OR. I am pretty sure the message made it all the way to D.C.

Hippies who love SpongeBob are welcome in my campgrounds.

I saw this Mercedes smart car at Wal*Mart, with a stinger and wondered what it could possibly tow. For some reason this really made me laugh.

I didn't take this photo, but I wanted to show how serious I am about removing the fat from my chicken.

I am excited to take and post more pictures!

catocala. We had one in our backyard once and I spent like an hour online trying to figure out what it was.

Aren't they cool? They have those bright underwings that they can fold and hide underneath when they need to camouflage themselves; or they can unfold them (like here) to reveal those two giant spots that look like eyes, to give the impression of a much larger animal. Nature is so fascinating.

I always look forward to this billboard about 80 miles into Washington on I-5, I took this last Tuesday while driving. Texting and driving is much safer than taking a photo while driving.

This is great idea for a thread, HFN. Here is my first entry:

I apologize for the poor quality of these photos, damn canuck picture phone.

A John Wayne as "Hondo" collector plate found on the wall in a bar in Tensleep, WY (I may have posted this one before)

My three year old daughter holding a tarantula, something she did not once, not twice but thrice (and also something her older brother and her father were not willing to do.)

A rare Mickey's Big Mouth/Miller High Life stubby sighting at Steuben's Food Service in Denver. (I apparently had the shakes that day as I attempted that shot at least a half dozen times and this was the best I could do.)
There's no such thing as luck, only drunken invincibility. Make it happen.

Tila Tequila and Juggalos, America’s saddest punchline since the South.

                            Yesterday was Thursday, Thursday
                            Today is Friday, Friday (Partyin’)

                            Tomorrow is Saturday
                            And Sunday comes afterwards
