Yoko Ono is 79 ... Cybill Shepherd is 62 ... Juice Newton is 60 ... John Travolta is 58 ... Vanna White is 55 ...

Yoko Ono has always looked like she is 79.

              • Never say never: Google's chrome browser is first to fall at Pwn2own

Well, that's a turnup for the books: Google's Chrome browser has been the first to be hacked at the annual Pwn2own competition. Having seen its product being untouchable for the past two years, the company may have become a little overconfident - and offered up to $60,000 to anyone who could hack it at all, up to a limit of $1m.

It was a challenge which a French team, Vupen, was very happy to take - and break. In fact, they hacked Chrome during the first five minutes of the competition, and (under the new rules) took 32 points. It also earns them $20,000 from Chrome for using bugs in Chrome itself to gain "full unsandboxed code execution".

The hack was carried out on the Windows version: according to Justin Schuh, of Google's Chrome team, the exploit "didn't break out of the sandbox… it avoided the sandbox".

Who cares? The end result is the same.

Those of us in the computer industry who try to make computer systems more secure care. It's nice to know all of the different ways that someone can get around your security measures, so that those areas can be made more secure in the future.

It is also nice to know that Safari wasn't the first to fall (again) this year.

                        • There are some polite drivers in Kaysville - three different people stopped to let me cross the road on my walk the other day. I'm not about to argue who has the right of way with a 4000lb auto

I may be small, but I'm slow.

A veteran - whether active duty, retired, or national guard or reserve is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to, "The United States of America ", for an amount of "up to and including my life - it's an honor."

Wow, you weren't kidding. They're not bloody car crash graphic, but quite humbling. I need to take some time to read the article more.
