What a beautiful view. Petra is on the wish list. Well done."Guitar groups are on their way out, Mr Epstein."
Upon rejecting the Beatles, Dick Rowe told Brian Epstein of the January 1, 1962 audition for Decca, which signed Brian Poole and the Tremeloes instead.

Have you seen Shallow Hal? Osteen was not in that movie (Tony Robbins was), but Osteen should have been in that movie. Otherwise, 7/10 stars.Originally posted by HuskyFreeNorthwest View PostI don't know who that is.You're actually pretty funny when you aren't being a complete a-hole....so basically like 5% of the time. --Art Vandelay

Let's get back on track. Now we are talking about Thailand is a destination. My daughter claims to know several people who say that the airfare is expensive but once you get there things are pretty cheap. Anyone here been to Thailand?

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

As ByronMarchant has deftly implied, we’re a bunch of self-indulgent bums who follow diligently the tenets of Joel Osteen’s Prosperity Gospel. But on rare occasion, we might look for ways to become a bit more Christ-like and thus I was really impressed by the Church’s Light the World program that currently appears on the Mormon.org home page. Our ward has printed up and distributed as a brochure the twenty-five day calendar to each family.
I opened the Light the World brochure thinking it was the usual nagging “invite your neighbors and friends to church” missionary effort. But no. Instead, it focuses on service to others in our general communities, with dozens of very specific suggestions of things we can do to help others in need, ranging from very quick to very time-consuming, from easy to rather challenging—something for everyone. It serves as an advent calendar providing ideas of what one can do each day through the season, and a lot of people in our ward are already jumping in. Our usual Ward Christmas Dinner will this year be a breakfast instead, after which members will be collecting and delivering a lot of gifts for the UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital and the Tri-Valley [local] Animal Rescue. This is one of several dozen projects ward members are participating in this season.
I’m excited to get involved. I’ll get back to planning more vacations in January.
