A guy I work with new triplets growing up all with A names and they called them AAA. He thought that was cool and wanted a theme with his kids, so all of his kids are named after cities:

Page (girl), Alexandria(girl), Denver(girl), Garrett (boy) (a stretch but there is a Garrett, Indiana or something like that). He refers to his kids as the "City Kids" kind of odd to me, but whatever floats your boat.
We specifically avoided using the same letter on our third child to avoid this, as our 1st 2 start with the same letter.

I know a family that named their kids after ducks:
Teal (I think there is a duck called cinnamon teal or something)
      Drake
      Mandarin

She refers to them as her ducks.
What's to explain? It's a bunch of people, most of whom you've never met, who are just as likely to be homicidal maniacs as they are to be normal everyday people, with whom you share the minutiae of your everyday life. It's totally normal, and everyone would understand.

One of my daughters is on that list. The key is to go back to 2004 and see whether her name was on the list.

I can't be held responsible for Utah folk being trendy about 5 years too late.

The guidance counselor at my daughter's school is named "Citronella."

          Not fooling.

This is her number one pet-peave. She hates the Utah version of her name.
I knew a girl in high school who's name was Chelsea, but she pronounced it "Chel-suh." I didn't know that is was an aberration for a long time.

My lab's name is Koda. My daughter named him that because he looks like the little bear named Koda from the movie "Brother Bear." This is the first time I've heard of a kid with that name. My hope and dream is that Koda can be the new Sadie -- popular dog turned kids' name.

Why not an R? That would be really cool.

I paid a bit more attention during the primary yesterday. There's a Cashton and a Rushton in the primary. Cashton is almost certainly made up. Rushton can go either way- made up or a last name. A little girl named Mendee was sitting in front of me. Has Seven become a real possibility?

There are about 20 girls named Riley/Rylee in my ward. Madison was soooooo 2000. Riley was where it was at in 2004 and 2005. A strong second is Brynlee/Brinley, there are only about 10 of them. I wish one of the Brynlee/Brinlee/Brinlee parents would have gone on the reservation and substituted the n for an m. It would have been awesome to have a little girl named Brimley in the primary. Hilarity every other week when her name is called.
Part of it is based on academic grounds. Among major conferences, the Pac-10 is the best academically, largely because of Stanford, Cal and UCLA. “Colorado is on a par with Oregon,” he said. “Utah isn’t even in the picture.”

There's a little girl in our ward named Seven. As I've yet to verify the size of her parents' lot, the proximity to the neighbors' house, and the location of their garage, I can't state whether Seven lives in a stucco turd.
