Agree. I'm pretty calloused when it comes to language, but had a coworker drop this term 4 or 5 times in reference to our supervisor and it surprised me how much the term bothered me, to the point where I asked her to stop. Maybe the c-word is like the n-word, the rules are a lot more relaxed if you're a club member.
