I'm waiting for their next study - identifying how biased people from their American Atheists organization are against religious people.

I think my favorite part of the article, other than the microaggression of seeing a triple combination, is a quote from the Utah director of American Atheists:

“When I came out as an atheist, I experienced discrimination from family members,” he said in the release, “and I lost friends — even ones who weren’t particularly religious.”
Maybe that last part should make him think about the true reasons he was losing friends.

Who has a bigger persecution complex in general? An atheist in Utah or a TBM in the wild?

LOL "coming out" as an atheist. You mean that time you started being an insufferable twat at parties about not believing in God? Weird how people started ghosting you...

Reminds me of my favorite Raylen Givens quote: "If you get up in the morning and run into an asshole, you ran into an asshole. If you find yourself running into assholes all day long, you are the asshole."

I can't tell you how many times I've used that quote. One of my favorite as well.

I consider myself pretty TBM and cannot remember feeling persecuted any of the times I lived in the "mission field." Utah Atheist (sometimes any non-LDS Utahn) wins this one in my mind.

I recently came across the Utah anthem and I love it so much. It’s sounds like a collaboration piece by Orrin Hatch and a North Korean.

It’s a classic. We bust that baby out at our house occasionally.

Not necessarily. I'm saying that when I'm talking to someone who complains about seeming to be mistreated a lot or talks about all of the people who have wronged them - it's an easy quote to refer to.

Seriously, I have never felt the need to go around publicly stating that I don't believe in God or coming out to everyone about my non-belief. Just like you Godless Damn life.
