What if she said she wanted them as a gift for him? Does that mean when assets are divided that he gets the boobs in the divorce settlement?

I have seen them listed on asset and debt worksheets.

Hear me out. Men fund these investments for mainly selfish reasons. At $10K, it can truly be seen as an investment. I don't personally know anybody that would put up with a $10K expense without joint discussion. So, I'm not gonna buy that argument.

Poor guy, he lost big on this investment. He never got to enjoy the investment, didn't get to take them out for a test drive. Not only that, but some other guy is going to be the beneficiary of his good works. What a terrible investment anyway, unless you look at economic profits.

Next question, IF your wife requested (this is important because many probably feel their wife doesn't need an augmentation) would you fund this surgery? Two years ago I would have. Now that I have the money, I won't. It has nothing to do with the money.

          Really?

Getting/staying in great shape is in harmony with the spirit of the Word of Wisdom and results in physical health.

How do breast implants accomplish either?

I don't see these things as being comparable.

$10K? Most of these Mormon women are getting these done in Idaho or Utah. I'm sure the going rate in these places does not approach 10K.

How would you say no? Isn't your money her money and likewise? Not letting her spend her money seems like an awfully chauvinistic approach. Does she also have this veto power over season tickets/cars/hunting equipment/guys trips/hobbies?

I didn't say being in shape is a bad thing, but sometimes a major motivation for improving in that area is to "trade up", so to speak. I know of three such situations that happened in just the last year. In one case the wife made difficult personal sacrifices to support and encourage her husband to lose weight and get in shape only to have him step out on her once he achieved his goals.

what a disappointing thread. I read through the whole thing hoping there would be some sort of group on for a boob job.

Only if you post what I would've if you were still on hiatus.

As the second half of this thread title suggests...

Considering the subject matter involved, this thread is boring.

I'm not sure Goatnapper could even save it at this point.

Maybe we should dedicate a thread to smiles instead.
