One of my friends (very wealthy) bought his wife an augmentation, then one week later was served divorce papers. This brought up a conversation about augmentation. My wife is of the opinion that mormon women who get augmentations are cheating on their spouse or are considering greener pastures. Totally a huge blanket statement there and she agrees that it is a little unfair. She cited case after case of our friends that made a compelling argument, however. I still don't agree. What are your thoughts? Any experiences?

It's obviously silly to make a statement like that, but it would be equally silly to think that doesn't happen fairly often. You could say the same about guys who work hard, lose weight and get in great shape. Also, the fact that they're mormon has nothing to do with it.

So let me get this right, his marriage was on the rocks (assumption from the subsequent divorce filing) and he thought the best thing for the marriage was a boob job? I don't think that marriage was going to last with or without the augmentation.

Add the case of my ex-wife to your wife's argument:

Boob job ---> cheating on spouse ---> divorce. One would think that all good mormon women would get the order right (i.e. divorce ---> boob job --->...) but it wasn't the case for me.
